3 Minute Bets is a new to market horse racing tipster service which is operated by one Chris Bishop. He claims to be able to deliver substantial profit for his subscribers.
Introduction to 3 (three) Minute Bets
There is a lot of rubbish on the market in terms of tipster services at the moment. It seems like every man and his dog is issuing something new and as such, it is often difficult to know where to begin when sorting the wheat from the chaff.
With a text based sales page, this isn’t too bad for me. I’m a quick reader and I am able to extrapolate detail quickly and efficiently (not that I’m trying to brag). The latest trend that I’m starting to see more of though is sales videos, and this includes 3 Minute Bets.
It is frustrating to spend a chunk of your time watching something through only to find something highly questionable. Unfortunately, this seems to be what has happened with 3 Minute Bets and Chris Bishop’s tips. There is a lot more to it than a simple snap judgement however so I will get down to detail rather than gesticulating wildly at my screen.
What Does 3 Minute Bets Offer?
Despite Chris Bishop talking a about the 3 Minute Bets formula as something much much bigger (a topic I wish to return to) the simple fact of the matter is that this is another daily horse racing tipster service. One area where Chris Bishop does do a little to distinguish his service from the rest of the market is in the fact that selections are sent out the evening before races rather than the morning of.
This does however appear to be integral to 3 Minute Bets as a whole for reasons I will get to. It is worth noting however that these emails provide you with the bear minimum of information.
In terms of the bets, you can expect a good mix of back to win and each way bets. As a service, 3 Minute Bets is relatively low volume with Chris Bishop claiming that you can expect to receive between 1 and 4 selections per day.
Where things really start to stand out for me however is when you look at the claimed odds. Chris Bishop claims in the sales video that most bets that you receive from 3 Minute Bets will have odds of between 3/1 and 33/1 (although beneath this this is immediately contradicted with a statement that odds are between 3/1 and 20/1).
It is about here that 3 Minute Bets starts to become interesting for all of the wrong reasons. First of all, there is no staking plan in place for the service. This suggests to me that you should be using level stakes, but honestly, this is reasonably seen as an integral part of signing up to a tipster.
Chris Bishop’s lack of interest in this combined with the infinitely frustrating approach of just saying place your bets with whichever bookies really sets alarm bells ringing for 3 Minute Bets.
Finally I want to talk about the strike rate for 3 Minute Bets, or the seeming lack thereof. Chris Bishop makes no claims about this simply saying that a favourites based service which backs horses at low odds with a strike rate of 60-70% will lose money whilst 3 Minute Bets would remain profitable.
Not surprisingly, there is no proofing provided either which means that it isn’t even possible to try and calculate a strike rate.
How Does 3 Minute Bets Work?
Behind 3 Minute Bets is what Chris Bishop refers to as the 3 Minute Bets formula. This sounds very impressive when he talks about it, but honestly, this is one of those frustratingly common scenarios where you aren’t given any tangible information about what this entails. There are some details provided, but I am not really sold on these.
Chris Bishop for example says that most tipsters aren’t able to make money because they focus on current trends in horse racing.
The secret to being truly profitable is to apparently predict future trends instead. On paper, I can accept that this sounds fine, but the sales video for 3 Minute Bets goes into so much more detail, some of which just comes off a little crazy if I am honest.
He claims that when a trend starts to emerge, the bookies will instantly change their prices to stop that trend from being noticed. In order to facilitate trend predictions, he says that the 3 Minute Bets formula looks at all of the things that a bookmaker will look at (whilst failing to mention anything that I would consider to be insightful beyond basic horse racing knowledge.
What is the Initial Investment?
There is only one option if you want to subscribe to 3 Minute Bets which is a one time payment of £27. Chris Bishop says that this will provide you with a lifetime of selections. Supposedly, this is a limited time offer as well with the marketing material for 3 Minute Bets saying that the next time it comes to market, the price could actually be 10 fold on this.
It is worth considering the fact that 3 Minute Bets is sold through Clickbank which means that there is a full 60 day money back guarantee in place for the service. This is mentioned by Chris Bishop but feels more like an after thought (it is literally a P.S. at the bottom of the page).
What is the Rate of Return?
There are some very interesting claims made in terms of the income potential for 3 Minute Bets. There is little in the way of financial numbers outside of a mention from Chris Bishop that you can expect to make £1,389.52 per week (although apparently not to £10 stakes). Infinitely more interesting is the claim that an ROI of 1650% is guaranteed.
There is also talk of generating a weekly ROI of 87-158%. This is then retconned later in the video to 57%, something which I believe reasonably casts doubt on the numbers.
Conclusion to 3 Minute Bets
There is a lot about 3 Minute Bets that frankly, I am not happy with. So much so that I am not really certain where to begin with this. Some things are really niggly. For example, Chris Bishop claims to have spent over 21 years studying patterns and trends in betting, but by the same token, we aren’t supposed to look to past results.
Furthermore, the voice actor in the sales video (because I don’t for one minute believe that Chris Bishop is a real person) sounds closer to 21 years old than somebody who could have 21 years of experience.
Obviously there are also things like the discrepancies on numbers for 3 Minute Bets. I can appreciate that there will be some variance on a week to week basis, but to outright contradict yourself the way that Chris Bishop does nothing but set alarm bells ringing.
What really gets to me about 3 Minute Bets though is the way the marketing is handled. A bit part of it that I haven’t touched on is Chris Bishop saying that there are loads of crap internet marketers out there who just want to take your money.
They’ve never been near a horse race or placed a bet etc. But 3 Minute Bets, that’s different. Except some behind the scenes digging has revealed to me that this is in fact the second service which has been offered by the same Clickbank vendor in the same week. That is concerning.
This should clearly telegraph the fact that I don’t see a single aspect of 3 Minute Bets that I would bother with. The service to me is clearly the exact same crap that it chastises other services for being. I honestly wouldn’t waste my time on 3 Minute Bets as there simply isn’t any evidence whatsoever that this is a service that can actually make you money.
3 Minute Bets looks like simple ClickBank fodder for the naive, and the sales page is designed to pull people in without showing any substance.
