3K Racing Challenge is a new horse racing tipster service from Michael Carr of Lucrative Racing. It aims to provide a consistent profit which can be repeated time and time again.
Introduction to 3k Racing Challenge
The mission statement for 3K Racing Challenge is about as straight forward as it comes. So much so that it is right there in the name in many respects. The goal is to make £3,000 in 3 months. According to Michael Carr, it is that simple. This is an interesting proposition in and of itself however it becomes more so to me when you keep in mind that this will supposedly be achieved with just £25 stakes.
This means an average of 40 points per month which is a hell of a result. Of course there are a lot of variables and factors to consider with something like this. With that in mind, let’s take a look at whether or not Michael Carr can actually deliver on 3K Racing Challenge or if it is mostly a marketing gimmick.
What Does 3K Racing Challenge Offer?
There is a lot of ground to cover with 3K Racing Challenge to be honest, and as such, I will be trying not to get too caught up in details. Essentially, you are looking at a near daily horse racing tipster service with Michael Carr offering bets Monday through to Saturday. Selections are issued directly to subscribers via email, as you would expect.
These are usually sent out to 3K Racing Challenge subscribers around 10am in the morning. So far, all pretty normal. This is about all that there is however.
Opening the proofing for 3K Racing Challenge and picking a day entirely at random shows that 21 different bets were identified. Quite often with multiple bets in the same race. In fact, you can potentially expect to back as many as 3 horses in one race. These are for a massive range of odds however you are rarely backing favourites. In fact, most of the bets advised through 3K Racing Challenge are 6.0 and above which is almost disproportionately high.
Suspiciously, the website claims that registrations are currently closed…
Sure they are…
Naturally there is a staking plan in place for 3K Racing Challenge which I have already touched upon. Ultimately, Michael Carr says that you should only bet what you can afford, however £25 stakes are recommended. There is also an optional compound staking plan included with 3K Racing Challenge which allows you to take your profits even further if you so desire.
Whilst we are skirting around the numerical side of 3K Racing Challenge, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the strike rate. This stands at just 17.14% for win bets. Now I acknowledge that this isn’t always the be all and end all, and to credit Michael Carr, there are some long odds here. That means that there certainly remains the potential for profit despite the low strike rate.
One last thing that I want to talk about that you get with 3K Racing Challenge is a number of bonus training systems. These have been thrown in by Michael Carr as a way of seemingly increasing the perception of value for the service. These are a 7 video tutorial on creating your own betting systems and a second 5 video tutorial which teaches you about compiling odds. Neither of these are necessary to use 3K Racing Challenge however.
How Does 3K Racing Challenge Work?
In terms of how 3K Racing Challenge works, there is actually a fair old amount to talk about. The whole service is essentially made up of two different tools. The first of these Michael Carr calls The Shortlist. This takes the 300-400 horses that are racing in the UK and Ireland on a given day and removes 96% of them based off some unspecified criterion.
The horses that are left are all strong contenders in their race and have “the ability to win assuming they run as expected”. As you may have guessed from the mention of longer odds, this aspect of 3K Racing Challenge is also concerned with finding value both at a bookmaker and BSP level.
The other aspect to 3K Racing Challenge (which Michael Carr claims will make it more profitable although he doesn’t use it personally) is referred to as Current Trends. This breaks down the qualifiers from The Shortlist based on, well, current trends. This can increase profit and reduce loss significantly, for example, Michael Carr says that by focusing on races with 7-17 runners, you could have increased your total profit by 100 points, not far off 40%.
What is the Initial Investment?
Including the additional training packages that come with it, Michael Carr claims that the value of 3K Racing Challenge would come to £600 including £300 per quarter for the two tipster side of things. You can however get access for the supposedly massively discounted price of £95 for the quarter This works out at about £32 per month which is actually roughly in line with what other tipster services seem to cost.
It is worth pointing out that there is a 30 day money back guarantee in place for 3K Racing Challenge, however this is only vendor backed and you have to deal with them directly to claim it.
What is the Rate of Return?
The amount that you can expect to earn through 3K Racing Challenge is right there in the name of the product. The whole thing is based around making £3,000 in 3 months (scaled up or down depending on your stakes). This is in turn based off a points profit of 274.83 to BSP over 6 months. Compounding increases the profits exponentially with 453.95 points of profit claimed.
Conclusion to the 3k Racing Challenge
There is one thing that you need to understand more than anything else with 3K Racing Challenge and that is how often you will have to bet. In 6 months, there were 1791 qualifying bets. That is a massive amount to follow and would mean staking £44,775.
Ultimately, this produces a profit but without looking too hard, I can see a losing streak of 24 losses. This means losing £600 in 2 days. This is a hell of a lot of money no matter how you dress it up and whilst the end result may well be there, you have to spend a lot to get it back.
One of the things that I think is definitely worth noting about 3K Racing Challenge is that I do entirely believe this to be a genuine service. In a market where there is a lot of questionable activity and services which aim to serve an internet marketer rather than a punter, this is commendable in and of itself. As, if I am honest, are the results.
The fact that they can be honed with Current Trends does also go some way to mitigating this. My point is there are some positives to 3K Racing Challenge as well.
All things considered, I see 3K Racing Challenge as being a bit of a niche service if I am completely honest. Whilst I can see a lot here that works, the method of getting there simply isn’t going to suit everybody.
There has been a run of 52 bets where 50 were losers. The winners came in at 1.88 points of profit and 1.5 points of profit. This is where you have to really call into question how willing you are to commit for the profit that is there to be had. Signing up at the start of that run would have wiped out all but the most robust of betting banks (you would have seen losses of £1,165.50 to recommended stakes).
This for me just doesn’t work. I don’t doubt that overall the system can work, but at what cost? There is always the question of whether there are smarter investments out there and for my money, there is. I don’t think that 3K Racing Challenge is inherently bad, but it is not something that one can lightly go in for either.
