Acca Smasher Review – Bet Social

Acca Smasher is a somewhat new to market horse racing tipster service that is operated by Bet Social. It aims to utilise various accumulators to produce a profit for subscribers,   `

Introduction to Acca Smasher

Depending on who you ask, accas are either a fantastic way to squeeze additional value out of bets or a complete disaster. If I’m entirely objective, both statements are true. The fact of the matter is that there is no “golden bullet” when it comes to betting. There is no approach that provides you with any shortcut to success. For everything that provides reward, there is risk. The real skill is whether or not you can balance this out. Especially when it comes to the extremes. Something that is incredibly pertinent here.

If there is one thing that I think I can say fairly about accas it is this. They do tend to be at the extremes. This of course means that when you look at a service like Acca Smasher, you have to be prepared for this. Because those extremes can of course be incredibly appealing. Something that Bet Social are very keen to share in their marketing. This is a service that has turned some very strong profits in a very short space of time. That is something that I think everybody will find appealing. But all of that does come at something of a cost.

I’ll be exploring this in more detail a little later on, but this is a service that is full of ups and downs. For everything that Acca Smasher gets right occasionally, there is quite a lot that ultimately goes wrong over a longer time span. It is one hell of a balancing act to pull off, and there aren’t many tipsters that can make this type of thing appealing. Bet Social might just be onto one that can here though. The fact is there is a lot to consider with a service like this, so without further ado, let’s get into it.

What Does Acca Smasher Offer?

Acca Smasher isn’t the first service of this nature that I have looked at. What is being done here isn’t anything new, and I will say from the get-go that comparable services I haven’t particularly liked, despite them being some of the most profitable that I’ve ever looked at. But here, Bet Social have found a tipster that takes a little bit of a different approach.

That is a very poignant choice of words too, because what makes Acca Smasher different from other tipsters utilising this approach is… well, a willingness to be different. There is ultimately some degree of variance in terms of the accas that are used. This might not seem revolutionary, but it is the first time I have seen it, and it does seem to pay off.

Naturally, this means that we have to start by really exploring the bets. The tipster behind Acca Smasher mostly tends to bring horses together into a Yankee. For those who may not be familiar with this bet type, it involves backing 4 horses as doubles, trebles, and a 4-fold acca. They can offer a nice balance between still actually seeing wins, and still having the opportunity for massive jackpot profits in the event a bet comes in.

Other bets include the occasional double, a Canadian bet (think a Yankee but much bigger), and also a decent number of Trixies too (this is 3 doubles and a treble). Where all of this is massively important and differentiates Acca Smasher is that the tipster behind the service clearly isn’t just picking out horses to round out numbers.

All of this leads to the subject of odds. Something that is quite interesting about Acca Smasher is that Bet Social’s own proofing shows that most of the horses that you are backing are relative favourites. The highest individual odds for a horse were 8.5, but the average comes in at about the 2.5 mark. It is worth noting though that these numbers are to BOG.

Realistically, this is something that you will want to pursue if you are following Acca Smasher. Of course, using an odds comparison site isn’t necessarily a realistic option when you’re betting with these more exotic accas. And unfortunately, there isn’t much information on where you should bet from Bet Social. For my money, one of the big bookies that offers BOG is probably your best shout here.

With all of that out of the way, let’s talk briefly about the management side of Acca Smasher, before we move onto the numbers. Bet Social have been around for a while now and they have put out a number of different tipster services. I think it’s fair to say that they have a reasonable grip on this.

As is the case with most modern tipster services, this means receiving selections via email. They tend to come in on the morning of racing and give you a decent period of time to get the bets on. All of this is pretty par for the course. Of note is the fact that that this is an almost daily service. Bet Social’s proofing shows that Acca Smasher has had a few no bet days, but these are rarity.

Now, let’s talk about the stakes. Obviously, these will depend on what type of bet you are backing. A Trixie, for example, doesn’t require nearly as much staked on it as a Yankee. Historically, the stakes have been lower according to the information Bet Social provide, but it seems that recently, Acca Smasher has settled on 6.6 points per Yankee and 4 points on a Trixie.

All of this is reasonably manageable, but you do need a pretty substantial betting bank with this sort of approach. There have been periods that have seen losses of some 50 points over a period of time. Realistically, there is always the potential that this could be worse. As such, I would probably aim to have some 200 points if you were going to follow Acca Smasher.

This is something that I think is very important. Not least of which is because Bet Social are keen to claim a strike rate of 38.87% for Acca Smasher (with any bet that turns a profit being seen as a win). Whilst this has been the case, the approach taken here is one that can turn around very quickly. As such, expecting those kinds of results all the time can prove costly.

How Does Acca Smasher Work?

I said earlier that one of the things that stands out to me about Acca Smasher is that the tipster behind the service shows a willingness to change up the bets that he places. What I didn’t talk about though is the significance of this. This approach demonstrates to me that horses aren’t being selected for the sake of it. Some similar services I have looked at will push 4 or 5 horses day in, day out. But anybody who knows there stuff will tell you that some days simply don’t have that many opportunities.

This demonstrates that there is at least some kind of selection process in place. And this is actually discussed a little on the sales page. The tipster behind Acca Smasher talks about how they have studied statistics and sets aside a few hours a day to do this. They then talk about how they developed the approach of backing multiples because backing singles wasn’t producing high enough profits.

Of course, Bet Social aren’t going into too much detail here. That is understandable to some degree. But I think that if you take the time to read the sales material through, it is apparent that Acca Smasher has a grounding in something. That is more than you can say for some tipster services. But I also think that it is demonstrated quite admirably when you look at the results too. They are indicative of somebody who has an idea of what horse racing is about.

As a final aside, I want to talk about that proofing Bet Social provide. Whilst it doesn’t provide you with insight into how Acca Smasher works, it does do something quite important with a service of this nature. What it allows you to do is get a good idea of the ebb and flow of the service. Something that is really quite important to have a handle on coming into this because of the fluctuations in the profit and loss.

What is the Initial Investment?

The first option for Acca Smasher is to sign up on a monthly basis. This is price at £32 per month.. Alternatively, you could sign up on a quarterly subscription. This will set you back £67 per quarter (effectively a free month), with your first quarter half price at £33.50.

As you might expect, the best value comes from signing up on a 6 month subscription. This represents the best value by a considerable margin and will cost you just £77. This is only a small jump from the quarterly subscription costs.

Something that is worth keeping in mind is that there isn’t actually any sort of money back guarantee in place with Bet Social’s services. This also applies when you’re looking at Acca Smasher too. As such, the longer better value options do mean that you have to really commit to get your money’s worth.

As a final point (I promise), if you stay on the page for a short period of time though, you do get a trial option. For just £7, you get to trial the selections for 30 days before moving onto that full monthly price (at the time of writing).

What is the Rate of Return?

In 3 months, Acca Smasher has produced a profit of 239.65 points. That is a hell of a result. What you should keep in mind however is that this is of course to BOG. That means that depending on which bookies you use, your milage may vary. The thing is, there is other context that I think needs to be provided for these results.

At the time of writing, we are hitting our stride for April. Despite this, Acca Smasher is operating at a loss of some 27 points for the month. This kind of thing is ultimately quite common with services of this nature though and can be turned around. By the same token though, they may not.

Conclusion for Acca Smasher

Acca Smasher is interesting to me. Very interesting, if I’m honest. It is by a significant margin, one of the better managed tipster services of this nature that I think I’ve ever seen. I can really respect the fact that the tipster behind it has a good handle on how to pick selections appropriately and aren’t hung up on pursuing those big wins all the time.

With that said, this isn’t something that is going to be for everybody. There is no denying that following a service like Acca Smasher can be expensive. At 6.6. points staked most days, you’re looking at 46.2 points per week. So far, this has all been relatively well managed. The drawdown hasn’t been nearly as extreme as it could be. But that doesn’t mean it won’t happen in the future.

The fact is that something like Acca Smasher always has significant potential to go wrong. And when it does, it does. If you were staking £10 per point, you’re looking at £462 every week. That is a lot of money. And with something like this, you can’t afford to miss a bet. Because any of them could be the next big winner.

With all of that said, I don’t think that Acca Smasher operates at the fringes of extremes. The fact is that the average odds mean that by and large, there is a relatively consistent stream of winners or at the very least, mitigated losses. Since the stakes switched, there have been just 13 “full losing bets”. That is to say where a whole Yankee has lost (there have also been 8 Trixies too at 4 points).

All of this means that in the grand scheme of things, Acca Smasher isn’t nearly as bad as some competing products. But let’s talk about the main selling point. The profit potential. There is no denying that it is very substantial. Bet Social are demonstrating that here you have a tipster that has, in 3 months, made as much a some tipsters might make in a year.

On top of that, I don’t think that it’s ultimately that expensive. In fact, I’d say that Acca Smasher is priced towards the lower end of what I’d expect from a tipster service. Which means that there is definitely some value for money to be had here. But that is all dependent on one thing, and that is your will power.

Look, Acca Smasher isn’t going to be for everybody. That much should be clear. Does that mean it is a bad product? Absolutely not. For the right person, this has the potential to be a decent little earner. Especially because you don’t actually have to be staking at £10 per point. Even a few quid would still potentially make this profitable. But the important part is having that discipline.

The fact is that if you aren’t in a position to place every single bet. If you are going to get anxious about potentially long losing streaks, this is one to miss. If you are a little bit more willing to take on the risk though, there is a lot of potential returns to be seen from Acca Smasher.
