Best of the Day Review

Best of the Day is the latest horse racing tipster service from the Betfan Group and a tipster known only as Martin that specialises in providing tips based around his own private system.

What does the product offer?

According to the sales material for Best of the Day, the service will show you how to win the betting game and that Martin’s top secret betting system can make consistent profits for those with patience, persistence and perseverance. All of this is rather inspiring stuff but how does Best of the Day really start to rack up when you look at the service?

First of all, it is worth pointing out that Best of the Day is a rather high volume service which can mean as many as 8 plus bets per day, often with several bets on the same race.

The staking plan for Best of the Day is a slight variant on the usual Betfan affair with bets advised as either 1, 3 or 5 points with horses that typically have rather long odds.

This hasn’t had too much of an effect on the strike rate to date though with Martin guiding Best of the Day to a respectable 32.21%.

How does the product work?

Martin says that when identifying selections for Best of the Day he follows a 2 step process. The first of these is looking at horses which are most likely to win a race. Once he has this generalised idea he applies a second system which provides “specific information over a number of factors”.

All of this is heavily steeped in statistical analysis however Betfan don’t go into any more detail than this unfortunately.

What is the initial investment?

Betfan are offering two subscriptions for Best of the Day which are a monthly Silver Membership option (actually 28 days) which costs £39 or a quarterly (actually 90 days) Gold Membership option which costs £78 per period. When you sign up for either option there is a 14 day trial which is billed at just £7.

It is worth pointing out that as a Betfan product, there is no real money back guarantee in place unfortunately.

What is the rate of return?

Best of the Day has been proofed since the middle of October through Tipster TV during which point Martin has made a profit of 215.29 points to date. This represents an ROI of 16.07% which isn’t terrible.

Conclusion

Betfan churn out products and there can be huge amounts of difference in terms of quality from one service to the next.

Unfortunately, I feel that Best of the Day rather falls flat in this department. The results have been acceptable to a degree and there has been a profit, both of which are ultimately what matters but I can’t help feeling that there is more to be had by investing your money elsewhere.

This is somewhat supported by the fact that such a new tipster service has already encountered 1 losing month and is currently showing a second. It is however early days and Martin may yet find improved form but I’m not holding my breath personally.
