Beth Bet is a rather unique betting product that has been created by BRC IT Lab. Whilst the company seems to be pretty small, the ideas at play here are genuinely very interesting.
Introduction to Beth Bet
In this line of work, there isn’t much that changes. Good tipsters will put out good products, questionable marketers will push their latest scheme, and bookies will continue to screw over punters. All the while the world keeps turning. But every now and then something does come along that is genuinely different. Sometimes these things are simple tweaks to existing approaches that simply haven’t been thought of. Other times though, somebody does something that really turns things upside down.
This brings me to today’s review subject, Beth Bet. Whilst this could simply be described as a “piece of betting software”, and that would be true, it seems like a bit of an injustice. What BRC IT Lab have done here is way above and beyond most betting software that I have seen. Not just in terms of how it works and what goes on behind the scenes, but also in how the software looks and is to use. A point of contention that I often have when it comes to betting software.
By far and away the best thing here though is that the profit potential is quite considerable. It isn’t just that that holds appeal though. The approach that BRC IT Lab have taken with Beth Bet means that if you are acting on everything, it isn’t just scalable, but should theoretically continue, ad infinitum. Or at least, until your accounts with bookies get restricted. One or the other… Jokes aside, this is something that is really quite exciting, so let’s get right into it.
What Does Beth Bet Offer?
BRC IT Lab say the following about Beth Bet. “Beth is the state-of-the-art AI-based Horse Racing Prediction Tool that will change the way you think about horse racing and sports betting!”. Putting aside the little marketing flourish at the end for a minute, that is a pretty straightforward description of what you’re getting into.
The whole thing is effectively an online suite that shows you horse racing bets that have been found in real time. All that is required of you as a punter is actually placing the bets. And even that is incredibly simple with Beth Bet linking you to the page with the appropriate bookmaker that you need to go to in order to place said bet.
The astute amongst you will have probably picked up on the fact that I’ve talked about bookmakers more than I usually would this early on in a review. That is very much by design. You see, because of how Beth Bet works, one of the things that can be problematic is that there are a lot of restrictions on how you use the software.
A huge part of this is that Beth Bet is only compatible at the moment with certain bookies. BRC IT Lab have stated that they intend to try and add more, but as it stands there is only support for the following:
- 10Bet
- 888 Sport
- Bet365
- BetVictor
- Betway
- Coral
- Ladbrokes
- Netbet
- Paddy Power
- Poker Stars
- William Hill
There are a few issues with this. The first and most obvious one is simply that you have to have an account with all of these bookmakers to take full advantage of Beth Bet. The next issue is that if you are too successful (and the profits suggest that may be the case), the number of bookmakers that you can use will start to shrink. Finally, it may seem restrictive to those who are used to seeking value.
The first two issues are unavoidable (at the moment). There is no getting around them. But I do want to talk about this last one, because understanding why it isn’t an issue is a key part of understanding Beth Bet. You see, one of the most appealing parts of the product is that it takes guesswork out of what you are doing. It is pretty absolute with all advice. Effectively, if you are using it correctly, you are betting as and when the software tells you to.
This requires a bit of a change in mentality. When a bet is recommended, it is already because it is based on the correct odds being in place with that bookmaker. As such, additional value isn’t something that you really need to be pursuing with Beth Bet. BRC IT Lab’s software really does do… pretty much everything for you.
With that said, you do still have control over Beth Bet. It is entirely possible for you to tweak the parameters so that you are betting at a level that you are more comfortable with. This isn’t necessarily the easiest thing to do, and it isn’t necessarily something that I would recommend, but it is an option. I do feel the need to say, full credit to BRC IT Lab for this.
Now, let’s talk about how Beth Bet is to “drive” so to speak. Most of the time when I look at a piece of betting software it is… well, it ends up being a bit ropey. If I’m honest. User friendliness is rarely a consideration but BRC IT Lab appear to have put this at the forefront of everything. Actually using the software is incredibly easy.
Everything is incredibly intuitive. A bet pops up, you click the link to be taken to the bookies page, and you place the bet. From there, Beth Bet logs all of the bets that you have placed and shows you how you’re performing for the day. This makes it incredibly easy to follow and understand the data. To ensure that you don’t miss a bet, you can activate both sound notifications and popups when a new bet is available.
I feel the need at this point to talk a little bit about some elements of Beth Bet that do require some consideration. First of all, this is a very high volume betting approach. Depending on which package you are on, BRC IT Lab say that you can expect to see anywhere from 30 bets per day all the way up to 1,100 if you were betting across all bookmakers. Of course, you aren’t necessarily going to be placing that many, but it does paint a good picture.
As you might expect from that kind of volume of bets, you also aren’t necessarily going to be winning all the time either. Adding to this is the fact that the bets that Beth Bet tends to identify are oftentimes longer shots. As such, there is an inherent chance that they won’t win. This means that whilst you may not have a high strike rate, BRC IT Lab are adamant that over time you will ultimately profit.
How Does Beth Bet Work?
Beth Bet is a piece of AI based software. Not surprisingly, the actual algorithms that it uses aren’t going to be detailed in public. But I think that it’s quite telling that BRC IT Lab are willing to talk about how the software actually does what it does. Effectively, they say, most of it comes down to “mathematical probability laws”, with the emphasis here being on the mathematical approach.
Specifically, the software makes predictions by analysis of various parameters. BRC IT Lab provide a few examples of what Beth Bet looks at such as:
- Desirable arbitrage situations
- Conditions of horses
- Conditions of racecourses
- Statistics on jockeys
- Numbers of horses in a race
These aren’t a comprehensive list, as you might expect. But it does show that there are considerations for both the horses themselves, as well as looking at betting markets for changes in odds etc.
Now, something that I often find myself at odds with when it comes to stuff like Beth Bet in the past is that… well, it’s usually just some guy who has hired a software developer to put something together. That is typically why betting software is very convoluted and not really user friendly. With BRC IT Lab though, we are told that the team all have backgrounds that are in gaming. As such, they seem to have a good understanding of what is needed.
Something that isn’t really about how Beth Bet “works” but is worthwhile is that you can also look at how the software would have performed in past years. Obviously, this is back testing. As such, there is some question about how valid you can consider the results. But I think if you’re looking for broad strokes it gives some insight into what you can expect.
What is the Initial Investment?
Pricing for Beth Bet is… interesting. To be fair to them, BRC IT Lab have options that will fit most budgets. But if you really want to get the most out of the software, then it is hard to ignore the fact that… well, it isn’t exactly cheap.
So, first of all, let’s talk about the cheaper option. Beth Basic. This allows you just 30 daily recommendations and limited filtering and control. This has a number of different options, each of which differs in terms of value and price. The first is just an outright monthly cost of £39.99 per month. Next is a quarterly option which is priced at £104.97. Then there is a 6 monthly subscription which is £179.94, and finally there is an annual option which is priced at £299.88.
Then there is Beth PRO. This gives you full access to all filters and is a much more sophisticated offering. It also comes with the full quantity of daily bets. The monthly option here is £99.99. The 3 monthly option is £278.97, the 6 monthly option is £515.94, and the annual option is a rather eyewatering £947.88.
What is worth mentioning is that you can sign up to Beth Bet and trial the basic package for 7 days. This gives you a decent amount of time to see whether or not this will be a good fit for you. What I really like is that this isn’t conditional. You don’t have to pay to try it, there isn’t money back guarantees, you can just give it a fair go.
What is the Rate of Return?
Now we come to the reason that Beth Bet is so appealing. The profit potential. Between April 1st and the time of writing (the back end of October), BRC IT Lab claim that their software has produced over 4,300 points of profit. That is a truly momentous achievement, even if it is a highly conditional result.
This is roughly in line with the previous year which despite having to stop because of Covid still managed to close on 5,417.5 points. Now I do feel the need to highlight once again that this is based off back testing. These aren’t bets that were placed. But it does show that Beth Bet isn’t producing these results as a fluke. There is strong profit shown consistently.
Conclusion for Beth Bet
There is a lot to like about Beth Bet. This is a genuinely fantastic looking piece of software that is really producing results. But… well, there are a lot of buts. The fact of the matter is that on a number of occasions, I have looked at betting systems, software, services, that have been truly incredible. But they’ve just not been for everybody, and this is one of them.
First things first, let’s talk about the restrictions. Beth Bet does what it does incredibly well. but let’s not forget the simple fact that it is only compatible with 11 bookmakers. If you aren’t using any of them, if you have account restrictions, there is significantly less value to this. Furthermore, as I mentioned earlier, the software is likely to lead to this, if you aren’t already.
You see, ultimately, what the software does is identify bets that have value to them. Bookies, not surprisingly, don’t like this. They don’t like losing money, they don’t like being wrong. As such, even if you only use one bookmaker at a time, it seems likely that your accounts might not be kept open in the long term. Now, BRC IT Lab do say that they’re looking to expand what Beth Bet can do, but here and now, that is a problem.
Then there is also the fact that if you’re taking full advantage of this, you’re placing a lot of bets. And you have to be at your computer to do so. That is something that definitely isn’t going to suit everybody. And you really do have to be on every bet you can be. Because as I’ve mentioned, the nature of Beth Bet means that you aren’t winning all that often.
And then there is the cost. Ultimately, I don’t think that it’s terrible. The basic option is roughly in line with what I’d expect to pay for a tipster service on a monthly basis. Of course, the Pro version of Beth Bet is more expensive. And if I’m really honest, if you’re the kind of person who takes your betting very seriously, then £100 a month isn’t bad given what you get. But I also can’t pretend that this is some sort of bargain. It isn’t.
So, wrapping things up, would I recommend Beth Bet? This is a question that doesn’t have an easy or short answer. Because… kind of. Here’s the thing. The quality is there. The results are there. Even though I think this is expensive, I don’t think BRC IT Lab are asking anything unreasonable. This isn’t a bad product.
But then there is the other side of that. There is a hell of a lot of work involved. Even in its most minimal form, you’re placing 30 bets per day. And you really do have to get every one of them. The way BRC IT Lab have set this service up, it is only profitable in the long term if you’re covering every bet. For some people, this isn’t a problem. But for a lot of people, it might be. If you go for the pro package, just compound these problems.
I think it’s inevitable that Beth Bet will impact your betting accounts too. Bookies are many things, but they aren’t stupid. They monitor betting patterns and the approach that this has is a pattern. Whilst you’re losing, it will be fine, as it always is with bookies. But when you start getting those winners, it becomes a different story. So that is also a factor.
And addressing something I haven’t so far, you will need bloody deep pockets to keep on top of this. Aside from the obvious point of the volume of bets, you do have to consider the drawdown potential. It’s easy to see this really adding up if there is a losing streak. Something you simply cannot dismiss.
So, coming back to it, would I recommend Beth Bet? To the right kind of person, I think that this is something really special. Even to a casual punter, using the basic package will yield some results. But this isn’t something that is for everyone. But copping out of it, your best bet is to simply give this a go. It isn’t like it’s going to cost you anything.
