CurationSoft is a piece of content curation software created by Peter Lenkefi and Jack Humphrey that streamlines the process of finding and linking content.
What does the product offer?
CurationSoft allows users to search 18 of the major content producing as well as retail websites such as Blogger, WordPress, YouTube and even Amazon and eBay. It actually works with a whole host of others including the major social networking sites. The process is hugely streamlined bringing up all relevant posts from the chosen content producing site.
How does the product work?
The product automatically generates links and “descriptions” with the appropriate HTML that can be “dragged and dropped” onto the HTML section of your chosen blogging platform. The software automatically formats the text creating a neat and uniform look. In the case of YouTube videos it automatically embeds the video with a description.
What is the initial investment?
The software comes with a free version which is stripped down and lacks the full functionality of the “Pro” and “Lifetime” licenses. The free version only allows users to source content from Google Blogs. The premium versions retail at $47 for the Pro version which licences the software for a year, or $97 for Lifetime which as is implied by the name is a lifetime subscription.
What is the rate of return?
There is no rate of return advertised with results being qualitative rather than quantitative.
Conclusion
CurationSoft seems to be a legitimately nifty piece of software. The demonstration shows a system that is swift and efficient in terms of linking to content and perhaps most importantly showcases how beneficial CurationSoft can be for people who are new to blogging and content curation. Admittedly a lot of what CurationSoft does can probably be done manually for free but for those who don’t wish to be tied down all day finding and linking to articles etc. this seems to be a no brainer.
There remains an element of work in so much as it is up to the user to review the content CurationSoft finds but otherwise there is very little to do. All in all this is a great little package, especially for those who are perhaps looking to generate revenue from blogging on the side.
