Designrr is a new product created by Paul Clifford of PageOne Traffic. It allows users to quickly and easily create an ebook from existing content on a website.
What does the product offer?
Designrr is a piece of online software that has been created specifically allow you to create a “professional” looking ebook in no time at all. According to Paul Clifford, there are plenty of internet marketers who have content that is worthy of publication in an ebook but cannot find the time or don’t want to pay the costs for creating them.
This is where Designrr comes into play. The software is able to take content from one or multiple websites and put it into an ebook format.
Designrr automatically strips anything that may suggest that it has come from a website like sidebars, social media icons and adverts. It then consistently configures the formatting in a number of fonts (with Designrr also being fully compatible with Google fonts as well) and a template cover.
As well as the template covers you can also take your own images and using an in built editing suite, create your own.
To assist with this, Paul Clifford also provides users with access to Unsplash, a website that provides stock images. Finally, Designrr also comes with full training on how to use everything and as a bonus (at the time of writing), a copy of Content Marketing for Dummies.
How does the product work?
In terms of what you can do with your ebooks, there are naturally some restrictions because of the content. One of the main suggestions that Paul Clifford makes is using them as lead magnets to draw people into your paid products.
What is the initial investment?
At the time of writing, Designrr is being sold for a one time cost of $47 which is claimed to be a limited time offer. Once this has elapsed, the costs are set at $29 per month or $197 per year.
The one time cost comes with a full 30 day money back guarantee however there is nothing to say whether this will be offered on the subscriptions.
What is the rate of return?
Realistically, I wouldn’t expect too much from Designrr in terms of the income potential. This is more of a marketing tool than a direct money making product.
Conclusion
Designrr is an interesting proposition and for those who have a large number of websites dealing with the same topic, I can see how it could be useful (for example taking content from one website and providing it to subscribers of the other) however there is limited commercial scope.
As mentioned, Designrr isn’t something that will make you money immediately or even directly. It does however have the potential to increase any sales lists that you might have.
The fact is that whilst the content that you are creating is referred to as ebooks, this is a bit of a stretch really however if you can get the one time payment there may be some value in Designrr.
