Each Way Leader Review

Each Way Leader is the newest horse racing tipster service from the Betting Gods stable of tipsters. Selections come courtesy of a tipster referred to simply as Jim, and as the name suggests, the service involves backing horses each way.

What does the product offer?

Whenever the Betting Gods team put out a new tipster service the event often passes with no real fanfare. This is in direct contrast to some of the other large betting stables that I could mention and if I am honest, I don’t see this as a bad thing at all. It does however mean that I often miss the quite excitement that comes with a new offering from them and Each Way Leader looks like a solid example of why I miss that.

Those who aren’t familiar with Betting Gods would do well to rectify this situation as the company and the services that they offer have grown exponentially since launching in 2014. In my experience, Darren (who heads up the company) has a no BS approach to his tipsters and as such only the real best get through. There is a proper sense of quality over quantity. All of this matters and is pertinent to Each Way Leader in particular as it has been some time since I have looked at a decent each way service. Can this new release to the market change that? Let’s get down to business and find out.

As a service, Each Way Leader is a pretty typical daily affair. Selections are emailed out by Jim each day as well as being uploaded to a member’s area on the Betting Gods site. They are also sent out to subscribers via the Betting Gods app as well so there is little reason to miss a tip. The volume of bets is massively varied. Whilst Each Way Leader averages out at 50-60 selections per day, these can stack right up on one day followed by 3 with only one pick per day.

As the name of the service gives away, you will exclusively be backing Jim’s selections on an each way basis. The bet type is key to Each Way Leader as a whole and I will look at this in detail later. What I can say is that the odds are massively varied. Choosing a day at random there are 5 bets available. These have odds of 4.0, 4.0, 16.00, 33.00 and 50.00. On that particular day, the 33.00 horse also happened to come in meaning a substantial profit on that bet.

In terms of the staking plan Each Way Leader does involve betting “each way” which means that you are essentially backing a horse twice per race (once to place and once to win). This means that you are advised to stake 2 points on each bet, a point on the horse winning and a point on the horse placing. This is a sensible enough policy however if you wanted to minimise the risk further you could easily stake just 1 point per game.

Keeping with the numbers aspect of Each Way Leader, the strike rate stands at a hugely impressive 37.44%. As well as being a really strong result for a backing service, it is important to note that this average has been set over 5 months which definitely shows consistency. To be honest, whilst the number is very strong in and of itself, it is the consistency that I find to be particularly impressive about Each Way Leader in this regard.

How does the product work?

Unfortunately there is no real discussion of how Jim makes his selections for Each Way Leader. This is a little bit disappointing however I do know that Betting Gods vet their tipsters which means that there will be something behind them, I would definitely prefer to have this insight so I could make up my own mind though.

Whilst there is no information on the selection process, the concept behind Each Way Leader is something that is relatively familiar to me. By betting on an each way basis, you are increasing the chances of winning (which is in line with the strike rate). By backing longer odds, there is the potential for big wins which should ultimately bump up the overall profits. Between the big wins, the smaller wins are supposed to keep your betting bank topped up.

What is the initial investment?

There are three options available for Each Way Leader, all of which I feel offer decent value. The first option is a monthly subscription which is priced at £30 per month. There is also a quarterly option at a cost of £60. Finally, and representing the best value, is an annual subscription which will cost you just £180. All of these options come with a 10 day trial for £1 and at the time of writing this, there was an option to get your first quarter for £30 rather than £60.

As well as this, there is a full 30 day money back guarantee in place which gives you a month to trial Each Way Leader. Should you find that the service isn’t for

What is the rate of return?

Since Each Way Leader launched in September it has generated an overall profit of £1,986.30 which is based on £10 stakes. What this means in in real terms is an average monthly profit of £397.26 and almost 200 points of profit which given the stakes I think is a very strong figure. What is more impressive than this however is an ROI of 45.35% and a bank growth of 132.42%.

Conclusion

Each Way Leader has generated a decent profit in a relatively short space of time. This is the first thing that must be acknowledged, however unlike other services that I have looked at very recently Betting Gods have proofed Each Way Leader for what I believe to be a reasonable period of time. The fact that they have also included a losing month (although at just 18.9 points, this is hardly bank breaking) goes a long way to managing expectations for Each Way Leader which does bring me neatly onto my next point and that is how this kind of service can go wrong.

So far, the longest losing streak has been 8 losses which doesn’t sound too bad. This doesn’t however paint a complete picture. This is because the 8 loss streak was actually part of a series of bets which saw 4 bets out of 22 place with the others all being losers. This is significant because those 4 place bets that came in generated just 1.8 points of “profit” which is less than you have staked on a losing bet. With that in mind, this run saw Each Way Leader drop from 92.9 points all the way down to 60.7 points.

Fortunately, this kind of thing appears to have been considered with the betting bank of 150 points more than covering even this kind of situation. Once again, I have to commend Jim on this. The truth is that most of the services that I look at with a similar premise to Each Way Leader often seem to forget to factor in potential losses and when these streaks inevitably happen I have watched entire betting banks wiped out.

One of the main things to be considered when looking at a service is whether or not there is value to be had and naturally price plays a huge factor in this. Whilst I wouldn’t say that Each Way Leader is a bargain, I do feel that it is important to acknowledge that the price is very fair. The currently monthly profits will certainly more than cover your subscription fees which is hugely important.

There are a few final thoughts on Each Way Leader that I think I need to raise. The first pertains to the method that Jim uses. In my experience, services that have any sort of reliance on big wins coming in inherently carry more risk than some other methods I have seen tipsters employ. With that having been said, I do believe that Each Way Leader is probably one of the best examples of a tipster service that I have seen in this mould. It is also important to keep in mind that Each Way Leader will require patience and discipline.

If you can deal with this, then Each Way Leader is a fantastically performing tipster service. Quite how long this profitability will remain in place is something that definitely remains to be seen, however once again I have to say that this is more down to the method than the service. For those with the discipline then Each Way Leader is definitely worth your consideration, but this is a service that definitely isn’t going to be for everybody.
