Fold 4 Gold Review

Fold 4 Gold is a sports betting and horse racing tipster service operated by Betfan that puts an emphasis on long shot bets.

What does the product offer?

Fold 4 Gold offers selections on an as and when basis which are sent directly to subscribers emails. Fold 4 Gold is very much based on using obscure types of bets to extract the maximum value and most importantly according to Betfan, fun. Fold 4 Gold is marketed as an alternative to “boring” tipster service and is allegedly well suited to those who still want the thrill of gambling as opposed to dedicated investment. Bets cover a huge variety of sports although the main focus appears to be football and horse racing.

How does the product work?

Most of what Fold 4 Gold is built around are bets like accumulators, 3,4 and even 5 folds, lucky 15’s and a host of other bet types that are reliant on predicting multiple outcomes. Although the selection process isn’t detailed given the fact that Fold 4 Gold covers such a variety of sports I wouldn’t be too surprised to find out that there isn’t much method.

What is the initial investment?

Access to Fold 4 Gold is subscription based with the only option being £19.99 per month. As this is a Betfan product refunds are not generally offered however they do say that they will review requests.

What is the rate of return?

Fold 4 Gold has been operational since November 2011 and since then it has made a cumulative profit of just 208.4 points.

Conclusion

Fold 4 Gold advertises itself as a high risk, high yield product but they are never really quiet clear how much risk is involved. In almost 3 years of service Fold 4 Gold has produced just 8 winning months. Whilst this kind of result is to be expected to a degree I would anticipate some slightly lesser bets to keep the balance topped up. If you start looking at the profits in greater detail you would realise that you would have to stake at £4 per bet in order to cover your subscription fees. With that in mind, how many people can afford to be losing money month in and month out to enjoy the occasional windfall.

Personally, I don’t fall into this category and I can’t see many people who do. As such I would recommend avoiding Fold 4 Gold entirely.
