Index Wizard Trading System is a new product which is being marketed by Streetwise Publications in conjunction with Ian Williams. They claim that you can make a full time income through trading, all using simple automated software.
Introduction to Index Wizard Trading System
A lot of what I do here pertains to betting. The fact of the matter is that there are so many opportunities in that market that it doesn’t always leave me a lot of time to explore other options. However, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t other options on the market. And a recent email that was presented to me (courtesy of John Harrison of Streetwise Publications) offered such an option.
Offering “a PROVEN way to make enough money to retire on as soon as you want, never work again and enjoy a fabulous income for life”. Well, I’d have been rather foolhardy not to look at that right? And when I followed his link, I was taken to the sales page for Index Wizard Trading System. A trading system that according to creator Ian Williams, is so simple, anybody can do it.
All of which of course seemingly, represents a phenomenal product. However, as is so often the case with these things, I do have some concerns. So, let’s jump right into this and see whether or not Index Wizard Trading System really is the product we’ve all been waiting for. Or, is it just going to be another one Streetwise Publications’ products that is all shirt and no trousers?
What Does Index Wizard Trading System Offer?
As is always the case when it comes to anything involving Streetwise Publications, the first thing that you have to do when you look at Index Wizard Trading System is start to separate any fact from the fiction. I won’t mince my words here. The guys know how to market a product. “Has This Eccentric (But Scarily Successful) Trading Genius Finally Lost The Plot?” reads the headline.
It’s a doozy, right? Especially when it’s immediately followed up by claims of making an “Effort Free £47,740 In The Past Year”. However, this is the same company that have received a number of complaints about their marketing. So, take from that what you will.
So, with those incredible claims ascertained, what exactly are you getting into here? The short answer to that is Forex trading. An area that honestly, doesn’t have to be as scary as it sounds. Especially if you are getting the right kind of advice.
Now in the case of Index Wizard Trading System, you are focusing on a very specific area of trading, specifically indices. For those who aren’t necessarily familiar with the term (which you may well not be), you will likely be familiar with examples of these. You’ve probably heard of the FTSE 100, the Dow Jones, or the Nasdaq (all of which Ian Williams will advise you of trades for).
There are a few different reasons for this that I will cover over the course of this review, but for now, I want to move onto what Index Wizard Trading System actually is. Because I know how much people can get turned off by Forex and trading.
You see, what Ian Williams is ultimately selling here is a simple piece of software. We are told that this requires “no special skills, education or knowledge to do this” and that the software “removes every last obstacle standing between you and regular lucrative mini-raids on world financial markets”.
Now, I want to put some of that hyperbole to one side for a minute and focus on the core of what is being said there. Effectively, anybody can use this software to trade. All that Ian Williams says you have to do to implement Index Wizard Trading System is load it up, set the parameters, let it loose on the markets, and react to the signals. It is seemingly that simple.
Honestly though, it isn’t. Don’t get me wrong. That doesn’t mean that Index Wizard Trading System is a particularly complex beast either. I’ve certainly seen other Forex products that require a lot more investment from you, both in terms of time and money. But as is almost always the case with Streetwise Publications, they paint a picture here that isn’t necessarily an accurate reflection of what you are getting yourself into.
You still have to know what you are doing technically in order to trade Forex. It isn’t like using an online bookmaker where you can just hop on, do your thing and leave it. Fortunately, Ian Williams does provide an instructional manual when you sign up for Index Wizard Trading System. As well as that, you also get access to the products creator if you require additional support.
The fact of the matter is that ultimately, this simply provides you with trade indicators. These advise you on what to trade and when. There isn’t inherently anything wrong with this at all. I have looked at things of this ilk before and some of them have actually done quite well. As such, in theory, there is no reason why Index Wizard Trading System couldn’t do likewise.
And finally, I want to talk a little bit about a few additional products that Ian Williams and Streetwise Publications have included. These are a hard copy of Ian Williams’s trading manual (which he claims has been used to “extract millions of pounds profit from world markets”), as well as access to twice weekly video updates. These contain “hot opportunities” that Ian Williams is looking at.
Whilst these aren’t bad little bonuses, it is worth keeping in mind that they are also in no way a fundamental part of Index Wizard Trading System. You could use this entirely without them, and frankly, if you are new to Forex that would be advised. There is already a lot to take in and I see no benefit in muddying the waters.
How Does Index Wizard Trading System Work?
Now we come to the part of Index Wizard Trading System that is probably the most important, and that is how it works. We are told plenty of things in this regard. Now the big push here is that Ian Williams has spent over 500 hours “perfecting” the software that you are buying.
This is a guy who is a “professional financial trader” (a vague term that sounds impressive but doesn’t necessarily have to mean anything). However, looking at his background it would seem that he has actually done particularly well off the back of selling his own trading systems (there have been at least 6 products released under his name). And Index Wizard Trading System is seemingly the automated version of the culmination of those trading products.
The second key element of Index Wizard Trading System is actually the fact that you are trading indices. We are told that there is a focus on the European markets (with the Dow Jones and the S&P 500 included so you can trade after work) because there is more stability in them. As such, by looking at the past results, the software is able to identify where there is profit in market movements elsewhere.
In terms of what is required from you, when the software identifies a trade, you simply have to follow the instructions. This is where the ease of using Index Wizard Trading System is really pushed by Ian Williams and Streetwise Publications.
What is the Initial Investment?
Now, we come to one of the biggest questions that hangs over Index Wizard Trading System (at least in my opinion) which is the cost. Ian Williams and Streetwise Publications are asking £97 per month for access to the service. That is a hell of a lot of money to be paying out.
What is interesting however is that Ian Williams also says in a Q&A at the end of the sales material that as well as the cost of the software package, there will be an additional cost of around £25 per month. Now, as with the mention of a trial (which I will get to next) this isn’t something that is mentioned elsewhere so I am inclined to think that this is probably just a carry over from Index Wizard Trading System being offered somewhere else
It is also worth noting that there is supposedly a trial period included which is mentioned in the aforementioned Q&A, however, as with the £25 per month, there is no other mention of this anywhere. Furthermore, on the payment page, you are told that you can cancel it whenever, but there is no mention of a money back guarantee.
What is the Rate of Return?
What is really outstanding about Index Wizard Trading System, is the claimed income potential. You see, Ian Williams and Streetwise Publications claim that you can “Bank An Extra £3,978 Per Month”. This is also calculated as an annual income of £47,736. What is particularly interesting about these numbers is that we are told that this is attainable using just £5 stakes.
This means that over the course of a year, Index Wizard Trading System has supposedly produced a 9,547.2 points. This is a massive number that simply isn’t substantiated anywhere. Elsewhere, there are testimonials that imply that you could have seen £1,500 (over an unspecified period of time), a 500% gain over 3 days, and a claim of an extra £500 per calendar month “minimum”.
Conclusion for Index Wizard Trading System
I don’t want to mince my words here. You can make a lot of money through Forex trading. There are plenty of people who do just that every day. So, in theory, what Ian Williams suggests isn’t entirely outside of the realm of possibility. The problem that I have however is that simply because others have done it (probably including Ian Williams himself), that doesn’t mean that something like Index Wizard Trading System will unlock this profit for you.
So, what does this actually mean for Index Wizard Trading System? I think that ultimately, you have something here that may work. But honestly, actually turning a profit with this isn’t going to be anywhere near as easy as it is made out to be. Never mind getting close to the kind of profit that Ian Williams and Streetwise Publications are claiming.
The reality is that even with the help of indicators, trading isn’t something that I would ever recommend taking on lightly. It is a lot of work, and it carries quite a substantial financial risk if you get it wrong. The fact is that you are ultimately always trading on a spread. This means that if you get it wrong, you can stand to lose a lot of money.
Do I think that Index Wizard Trading System will get it that wrong? I’d really hope not. The fact that this is based on previous results means that the software shouldn’t go too far off the rails. However, past performance of anything is not an indicator of how it will behave in the future. Especially when it comes to the financial markets.
So, if you are interested in Forex, and you wanted to use Index Wizard Trading System as your starting point, you should have some pretty deep pockets. This doesn’t just count in terms of the inherent risk that comes with this method of income, but also, there is the small fact of just how much Ian Williams and Streetwise Publications are asking.
£97 is a hell of a lot of money to be paying out. Especially for something that ultimately, you are simply taking somebody’s word on it that it works. The same person who also ultimately stands to profit from your buying such a product. That cost means that I don’t really see the value that can be had here. And that is a key consideration.
The fact of the matter is that I think Index Wizard Trading System is very expensive for what it is. If you want to get into Forex trading, there are better courses that will help you learn the fundamentals at a lot less money. If you are just looking for a second income, why would you increase your costs unnecessarily? Let’s not forget, Index Wizard Trading System is not a wholly unique concept. And actually, there are sports betting and other trading products that I would have more faith in that cost much less.
With this level of competition around, a £97 per month price tag, and a product that realistically just won’t deliver on the claims made… Well, things don’t look good. For me, these reasons are ultimately enough that I wouldn’t recommend this. Honestly , I just wouldn’t invest nearly that much money on something that carries so many variables and so little evidence that it works as claimed.
I’ve had a couple of Streetwise emails now selling Crypto Wizard from Ian Williams. It makes exactly the same outrageously over the top claims as this product, has exactly the same payment by installments at £97 a month, mentions the £25 a month data feed with no further explanation and uses the same 3 testimonials.
I got hold of Ian Williams’ Trading the EZ Way once via a mate about 15 years ago. It wasn’t horrible either, actually quite a good read. But when I was told it was being sold for £300 I was gobsmacked, he literally only uses moving average crossovers as his signals and even back then that kind of information was readily available for free on the Internet.
Anything Streetwise is a huge red flag anyway but where the over sold hype goes from being dubious to proven dishonesty (using the same testimonials for different products), they’re starting to head into the realms of illegal. Steer clear people, Money Making Forum is right about this.
