MoonPixlar is a graphics design suite from Josh Ratta that allows you to create your own graphics with a focus on creating images for marketing.
What does the product offer?
Josh Ratta describes MoonPixlar as being able to create eye catching marketing graphics in minutes and to his credit, the software does deliver on this to a degree. Essentially, MoonPixlar is a graphics suite that is comprised of a huge number of templates and different images and vector graphics (1000 of each according to Josh Ratta). The various different templates are primarily geared towards use with social media with a lot of the sizes already optimised for things like Facebook banners or YouTube video thumbnails. That having been said, Josh Ratta also says that you can use MoonPixlar for things like creating logo’s too.
The images are hugely varied and are designed to cover a variety of niches, many of which can be identified through a simple search term. The actual image creation side of MoonPixlar uses a simple drag and drop interface that allows you to start with a template or create your own image from scratch. Actual ease of use is pretty decent, if somewhat restrictive. It is worth pointing out that MoonPixlar also comes with full video training as well as customer support if you have any problems with the software.
How does the product work?
There are two main selling points for MoonPixlar. The first of these is that in using the software, you can avoid paying a graphic designer to do it for you. The second is that by using images you are going to be much better placed to market your products with Josh Ratta saying that you can expect an increase in sales as a result of having images as a part of your marketing campaign.
What is the initial investment?
There are 3 payment options available for MoonPixlar which are a monthly subscription, an annual subscription and a lifetime subscription. All of these come with the same features with the only difference being the cost and length of access. MoonPixlar will cost you $7.99 per month, $97 per year or $297 for a lifetime of access. It is worth noting that Josh Ratta only provides a money back guarantee on the annual and lifetime options.
What is the rate of return?
There aren’t really any claims in terms of the income potential of MoonPixlar however Josh Ratta says that you will save hundreds, if not thousands on the costs of a designer.
Conclusion
MoonPixlar is one of those products that it is rather difficult to fault in terms of how it does what it does. The question that I have is whether or not MoonPixlar is worth it frankly. Given the costs that are involved, it is worth keeping in mind that there are free options that come with much more features (with GIMP immediately coming to mind) that whilst somewhat more complex saves money and can ultimately do more for you.
