My Winning Lays Review Success Publications

My Winning Lays is a lay betting horse racing tipster service that claims to be able to provide consistent and profitable selections for subscribers. The only name attached to the service is Success Publications.

What does the product offer?

“Congratulations!” the headline for My Winning Lays reads. “You’ve Finally Found The Lay Betting System That Is Proving Itself….. Time and Time Again !!”. Well colour me intrigued. It isn’t very often that I find myself dealing with a tipster service that presents itself with so much confidence. I am used to brash claims but something about this really takes the proverbial biscuit.

Naturally I find myself devouring the sales material in order to see what Success Publications are actually offering with My Winning Lays. Unfortunately, or perhaps not surprisingly, it transpires that there isn’t really anything here that even begins to warrant such extravagant claims. In fact, I would even go as far as to say that there isn’t a single aspect of My Winning Lays that really stands out for me as a system. As I will get to, this is a big problem because of two very simple reasons.

In terms of what My Winning Lays actually entails, it is a near daily horse racing tipster service (selections are usually issued Monday through Saturday). All bets are emailed out to subscribers at around 10.30am with an email even going out on days where there are no bets. All that you supposedly have to do, is place the selections and “watch your profits steadily grow”.

As I have already touched upon, it is worth pointing out that this is a lay betting service which means that you will require an account with a betting exchange. Success Publications have chosen not to recommend any particular service however they do point out that “an average betting exchange” will charge 5% commission. This suggests that you should be using Betfair (who also happen to be who I would recommend).

In terms of the numbers, I wish to address the staking plan that is in place for My Winning Lays first. Success Publications recommend staking 10% of your betting bank on each bet. This is a massive risk for a lay betting service due to how liability is calculated. I will cover this in much greater detail below.

As a lay betting service, it is quite reasonable to expect My Winning Lays to have a higher strike rate than a  back to win service. After all, you are much more likely to pick a losing bet than a winning one. Unfortunately, this isn’t a number that Success Publications provide however I have taken the liberty of using their proofing to calculate this. Supposedly, the average strike rate should work out around 88% based off the last 3 months of selections.

How does My Winning Lays work?

Rather unfortunately Success Publications don’t really provide any information in terms of how My Winning Lays works. This is massively disappointing. Especially when you put it in the light of a claim made by Success Publications in the sales material where they say “This system is worth an absolute fortune”. I accept that giving details and going into depth is not an option but I have always maintained that as a consumer, you should at least have some idea of what you are getting yourself into.

What is the initial investment?

I have mentioned that there are a few problems with My Winning Lays and the pricing is definitely one of them. Success Publications are asking “just” £15 per week for the service which actually means £60 per month. This makes it one of the most expensive tipster services that I can recall for some time. Payment for My Winning Lays is also handled directly via Paypal which means that there is no form of money back guarantee either.

What is the rate of return?

Interestingly there are only results for the last 4 months from Success Publications over which there has been a profit generated of 121 points. Perhaps painting a slightly better picture are the monthly profit percentiles. These start at 41.7% which was the worst month that My Winning Lays has, and they go all the way to 374.4% which was the strongest month. By a huge coincidence, the remaining 2 months of proofed results work out at 100% profit each when averaged out.

Conclusion on My Winning Lays

I have spent some rather considerable time trying to find a reason why you might want to invest in My Winning Lays but I am genuinely struggling. There are a number of reasons but there are three main ones that really jump out for me. The first and most obvious is the cost. Success Publications are asking a hell of a lot for their service. This is a problem for a number of reasons, however the main one is that it is rather difficult to find any value for money in the service.

The second problem is rather a large one in my book which is the lack of information surrounding the service. There are far too many tipsters out there who try to sell their products off the back of either ludicrous stories or simply not providing any information about their selection process. This is important for me as I like to know where a tipster is coming from, especially if I am paying a premium for their services.

Finally there is the not so minor problem of liabilities. Success Publications recommend staking 10% of your betting bank however they often bet on horses with odds of 5.0 and higher. This means that if one of those bets lose then you are effectively losing as much as half of your betting bank. When you are staking on a percentile basis, this makes it very difficult to ultimately recover and can take a huge amount of time. Whilst I accept that it hasn’t happened yet, this possibility has to be considered.

With all of this in mind, I don’t see this as a service that I could reasonably recommend. This isn’t down to the results (which actually have been pretty reasonable to date), but the lack of value and the strong possibility that My Winning Lays can cave in on itself in just one bad bet. There is however some potential to My Winning Lays as far as I am concerned but there needs to be a lot of tweaking before I would consider it worth any real consideration.
