Platinum Winners Review Pro Betting Club

Platinum Winners is a long standing horse racing tipster service from the Pro Betting Club. They claim that over its life, the service has generated a very substantial profit for subscribers.

What does the product offer?

Platinum Winners is one of, if not the pinnacle service offered by Platinum Winners. There are claims of hugely strong profits to be had. So much so that whilst they aren’t quite headlines, the sales material for Platinum Winners does claim that you can make “BIG PROFITS WITH PLATINUM WINNERS. 308 Points in 11 months!”. These are strong results and they actually fall within the realm of possibilities. The fact that Pro Betting Club say that Platinum Winners has produced this over almost a year also implies that there is some consistency to the service.

With all of this in mind I am quite comfortable saying that I was rather excited to have a proper look at Platinum Winners. Pro Betting Club don’t tend to mess about with ridiculous copy when it comes to their services so there isn’t much to say about Platinum Winners in many regards. Everything is factual and number based, all of which I like as it means that you can quantify the potential that a service has.

As a service, Platinum Winners is operated in a very straight forward fashion. Selections are issued on a daily basis and are made available online by 12.30pm each race day. Interestingly, all bets are advised at BSP (Betfair Start Price) which has a twofold positive effect on Platinum Winners overall. The first is that you could probably make Platinum Winners more profitable through using BOG. On top of this, it also means that you can simply place your bets through Betfair rather than having multiple bookie accounts, worrying about bans and restrictions etc.

In terms of the bets that you are actually placing, Platinum Winners deals exclusively with win bets. This is in no small part down to the staking system which requires this kind of approach. There are a variety of odds covered and generally, the quantity of bets that are advised are rather low. In fact, the most bets on a given day has been just 9 which sounds a lot, but it is still less than half of some services that I have looked at before now.

In terms of the numbers, there is the staking plan which is a huge part of Platinum Winners as a service. The staking plan involves increasing stakes till you win or alternatively, you hit a number of losses and start the cycle again. In the case of Platinum Winners, Pro Betting Club say that you should start by betting 1 point to start. If your first bet loses, this should be increased to two points, then three, all the way up to 8 points. This means that in a losing run you will actually stake 36 points over 8 days.

The strike rate for Platinum Winners sits at just 25%. This is a believable enough umber and it is definitely something that can generate a profit. Unfortunately, when combined with the kind of staking plan that Pro Betting Club use for Platinum Winners, this can have a detrimental effect on things.

How does the product work?

Unfortunately, Pro Betting Club provide very little information in terms of what the selection process for Platinum Winners entails. This is somewhat problematic for me as I have always said that a consumer should know what they are getting into. We are simply told that all selections are carefully  researched and that many different factors are taken into account (including “using detailed race analysis”). . This is rather minimal, to say the least although I have seen worse examples.

What is the initial investment?

At the time of writing, there is a limited time offer available for Platinum Winners where you can sign up for 7 days of selections for a one time cost of just £1. Once this has elapsed, then Platinum Winners becomes a monthly subscription service at the significantly costlier £39.50 per month. This is the only long term option which is available with payment handled directly through a Pro Betting Club proprietary system.

Unfortunately, all of this means that there is no money back guarantee in place with Platinum Winners. This is pretty far from a deal breaker however as this is the norm for most tipster services.

What is the rate of return?

The key claim and main selling point surrounding Platinum Winners pertains to the income potential. As I have already mentioned, Pro Betting Club say that so far for 2017 there have been profits made of 308 points. This is being leveraged to advertise profits of £30,800. There is proofing for this however I don’t believe that it comes close to painting a complete picture of Platinum Winners however.

Conclusion

I am always wary of recovery based staking plans and with good reason. More often than not, they can end up costing you significantly more than the income potential that they bring in. Platinum Winners is a very good example of this. Between the last 2 months, Platinum Winners has lost over 100 points, something that is in no small part aided by 2 maximum losing streaks, a win of 0.77 points of profit and then yet another complete losing streak.

Had you been starting out this would have decimated your betting bank and even if you factored in the profits of the previous 2 months, you would still be looking at an overall loss of about 30 points. I could keep going with this because truth be told, over half of the claimed profits for Platinum Winners are down to just one month where 176 points were generated. Without this, the profits are much smaller and if you choose to factor in the cost of subscribing, they are even less.

As far as I am concerned, consistency is key when it comes to a tipster service and I just don’t believe that Platinum Winners has this in the long term. Sure, there are definitely some times where Platinum Winners is profitable and in the longer term, it is undoubtedly this. Unfortunately, we cannot always simply look at a bigger picture and have that be the be al an end all when I comes to a service.

The proof of this is ins the results which have shown consistent and rather marked losses. A few points here and there can possibly be chalked up to a bit of bad luck, but the runs of results that Pro Betting Club demonstrate for Platinum Winners show a system that as far as I can tell is obscenely flawed. With this in mind, I simply don’t see a product in Platinum Winners that is worth pursuing. Truthfully, I can only see people struggling with Platinum Winners in the long run and as such, I would try a tipster service with better more immediate results instead.
