Pro Bet Doubles Review

Pro Bet Doubles is a horse racing tipster service which is allegedly operated by one Joe Johnson. The service has allegedly been able to produce some very substantial profits over a 12 month period.

Introduction to Pro Bet Doubles

I cannot tell if there is a lot to process in terms of Pro Bet Doubles or not. This is mostly down to the fact that the wntire website is a bit erm… How can I put this delicately… Early 2000’s. Right down to a low resolution GIF in the corner.

Of course, I am not one to judge a book by its cover, and there are some very good tipster services out there which simply aren’t very well marketed.

Pro_Bet_Doubles_ReviewNow whilst this is a possibility, sometimes, you have to say if it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck… Well… So, which is Pro Bet Doubles exactly? Is it a top tipster service which has flown under the radar, or simply a questionable effort that is more likely to drain your betting bank than turn a profit. Let’s have a look.

What Does Pro Bet Doubles Offer?

Given the low quality of marketing and the number of wildly differing claims that are made by Joe Johnson, it comes as no surprise that the first mystery surrounding Pro Bet Doubles is what you are actually getting into.

The service is described as a “DAILY DOUBLE Service”. What this apparently means is that each day, you will receive selections from Joe Johnson. These follow a very specific betting approach, however you don’t get a whole lot from Pro Bet Doubles.

Each day, you will receive 2 selections from Joe Johnson. These are to be backed as a two single bets and then combined to make a double.

These cover a variety of odds, but by and large, Pro Bet Doubles is not backing outsiders. In fact, a look at the small amount of evidence that is provided by Joe Johnson shows that most of the bets are at odds of under 2.0. This fixed approach does have one strong positive in so much as, you know what you will be getting day to day.

In terms of the staking plan, well, there doesn’t seem to be one in place. I haven’t seen anything from Joe Johnson that suggests that there is structure there.

When you look at the so called evidence that is provided for Pro Bet Doubles, this really stands out to me. This is all particularly problematic in my book as the service is ultimately being sold on the back of a pounds and pence income claim. With no details of staking (outside of Joe Johnson’s bets in the “proofing”), the numbers are fundamentally irrelevant.

Finally, I want to talk about the claimed strike rate for Pro Bet Doubles. In the sales material, Joe Johnson says “95% S/R” which I don’t feel it is unreasonable to presume to mean strike rate.

This is however an entirely unsubstantiated number and one that I take with more than large pinch of salt. I haven’t seen a single shred of evidence that would put Pro Bet Doubles in line with this claim. As such, I have fair reason to believe that Joe Johnson is simply making figures up, or I am hugely misreading the numbers. I am more inclined to believe the former than the latter.

How Does Pro Bet Doubles Work?

Joe Johnson claims that he has been betting for over 30 years. In fact, the sales material for Pro Bet Doubles says “ESTABLISHED 1985”. I haven’t ever heard anything about it however. Nor apparently, has anybody online.

It is worth noting that Pro Bet Doubles is also linked to a website, Profit Punter Racing which has also supposedly been operational for a considerable period of time. None of this provides any insight into what the selection process for Pro Bet Doubles entails however.

The same thing can be applicable when you look at Joe Johnson’s reference to a piece of software.

The vague claim seems to be that Pro Bet Doubles is based off the selections of said piece of software, however there is no suggestion as to what this does. What all of this means when you boil it down, is that we aren’t ever told how Joe Johnson finds his selections.

This is a big problem for me as I would expect to see enough information from Joe Johnson to at least make an informed decision about Pro Bet Doubles. We aren’t however, and with little to go off, I can’t help but be cynical about “how” Pro Bet Doubles supposedly works.

What is the Initial Investment?

If you want to sign up to Pro Bet Doubles, then there is just one option and it is one that I am not particularly keen on if I’m honest. Joe Johnson is asking £48 as a one time payment in order to sign up to Pro Bet Doubles for 12 months. In and of itself, this kind of thing isn’t unusual, however it is noteworthy that payment for your subscription is handled directly via Paypal.

Combine this with no money back guarantee, and Pro Bet Doubles becomes quite a risky proposition to me.

What is the Rate of Return?

There isn’t too much that is discussed in terms of the income potential for Pro Bet Doubles. We are simply told that the software has generated £37,843 in 12 months. This number is repeated 3 times throughout the sales material, however it is important to note that there is no context provided for this number.

Joe Johnson doesn’t talk about what kind of stakes have generated this income and with no proofing provided, I don’t think that it is unreasonable to question this number.

Conclusion on Pro Bet Doubles

It bothers me that there is so little that Joe Johnson has to say about Pro Bet Doubles that has any real impact or meaning. I can appreciate that ultimately, you are looking at a sales pitch and so there has to be information that is perhaps select, but here I barely see any information at all and that is a very big problem for me.

I don’t think that it is unreasonable for a tipster service which has supposedly been operational since 1985 to provide some evidence of working.

That is 33 years of experience, and if Joe Johnson hasn’t learned in that time period that he should be keeping proofing, well… I think that it is probably pretty reasonable to say that if basic lessons haven’t been learned, then there is little reason to believe that the methods that Pro Bet Doubles is supposedly based on are legitimate.

Truthfully, it has been some time since I have looked at something which is so devoid of substance as the sales material for Pro Bet Doubles. Now I could chalk this up to a tipster who maybe doesn’t understand how online marketing works or what people expect.

After all, going back to that number of 1985, well, it seems entirely feasible that Joe Johnson is an elderly gent who simply doesn’t know how to use the internet particularly well. This may even be backed up by the fact that he refers to a friend of his who handles the online side of things.

The problem that I have here is that in some ways, the fact that the promotional material which has been put together for Pro Bet Doubles has been put together with intent, by somebody who supposedly understands what is needed to sell, only makes the whole thing feel more questionable.

Do I think that Pro Bet Doubles is a genuine service?

Possibly. Perhaps rather naively, I would be better saying that I would like to think that it is. The reality however is that there isn’t a shred of anything that demonstrates that this could be the case. As such, whilst I would love Joe Johnson to be a genteel old tipster trying to make his way in the modern world, I have to see Pro Bet Doubles for what it is.

That is a tipster service which offers no guarantees, no refunds, no evidence, no proofing. I could carry on, but I think that all of these absences nicely highlight that there are plenty of reasons to give Pro Bet Doubles a miss.

I also have to say, the website is a mess, and looks like something from 1980. The offer would look a lot better if some thought and effort had gone into the site itself, and would give more confidence!
