RL Rated Racing is a relatively new horse racing tipster service offered through BetInfo 24 stable of tipsters. Ratings come from Richard who also provides select ratings for TPS Ratings.
Introduction to RL Rated Racing
I very much feel like in the world of tipsters, it is a shouting match. Everybody is trying to push their angle and agenda and in the main, this is achieved by simply making more noise than anybody else (that is the only reason I can think of for the multitudes of tipsters which continue to survive through widespread affiliate programmes). This trend is sometimes bucked however and there are tipsters out there who prefer to quietly go about their business.
BetInfo 24 is one such example and their service RL Rated Racing appears to be an even stronger example of this. What we are faced with is a numbers based sales pitch with no outlandish claims in sight. I can honestly tell you that as somebody who does this day in and day out, this is a blessing in and of itself.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t give a service a free pass if it isn’t making money. With this I mind, let’s take a look at whether or not RL Rated Racing is actually any good.
What Does RL Rated Racing Offer?
A lot of RL Rated Racing is very much in line with what you would expect from a horse racing tipster service. Selections are advised on a near daily basis and are sent out directly to subscribers via email. The BetInfo 24 team also make these available online at a special member’s area too. It is worth noting that there are typically just two bets provided each day.
The selections are detailed fine enough with recommended odds etc. There is certainly enough in what you receive as an RL Rated Racing subscriber that you won’t be left floundering.
In terms of the bets that you are placing, there is definitely a variety to RL Rated Racing. Don’t get me wrong, a cursory glance over the proofing from BetInfo 24 shows you that you will mostly be backing horses to win. This isn’t the only option however with a number of each way bets occasionally cropping up as well as a double on one occasion.
I wouldn’t necessarily want to take these latter examples as indicative of the future too much, but there are options. There area decent variety of odds involved here which I believe will make for consistent enough wins, but still getting the occasional big win when they come in (RL Rated Racing has seen one winner come in at 21.00 and another at 9.00 each way).
The staking plan for RL Rated Racing is generally relatively straightforward with one or two anomalies. Win bets are generally advised as either 1 point or 2 points. Every now and then, you may see stakes advised which are much higher than this with both 4 and 5 point bets being advised on occasion.
Each way bets are in line with this with 0.5 points and 1 point advised each way. This does mean that there isn’t ever too much in terms of exposure to the betting bank.
Finally I want to talk a little bit about the strike rate. Now honestly, whilst there are the occasional big wins, the majority of RL Rated Racing concerns itself with much smaller odds. With this in mind, I would expect a relatively high strike rate which is arguably delivered. BetInfo 24 claim that this stands at 34% for RL Rated Racing.
How Does RL Rated Racing Work?
Richard who runs RL Rated Racing actually provides the Irish ratings for TPS Ratings (not the first person involved with them to have a tipster service through BetInfo 24). This suggests to me that there is a decent rooting in horse racing and it also seems likely that RL Rated Racing is based around similar speed ratings to TPS Ratings. This is however only conjecture on my behalf, although it does seem well within the real of possibility.
What is the Initial Investment?
There are three options if you are interested in signing up for RL Rated Racing. The first is a monthly subscription which is priced at £27.99. Secondly, there is a quarterly subscription which is priced at £69.99. It is worth pointing out that BetInfo 24 offer both of these with a 1 week trial for just £1. Finally, there is an annual subscription.
This is priced at a one time payment of £189.99 meaning a saving of £145 over 12 months. All of these options come with a “no questions asked” 30 day money back guarantee.
What is the Rate of Return?
Here are the claimed profits on their website:
At the time of writing, RL Rated Racing has produced an overall points profit of 57.37 points. When you keep in mind that this is since BetInfo 24 started proofing the service back in February, it doesn’t look quite as bad as it sounds. In fact, it would mean an effective monthly profit of just under 12 points which could be better, but is not terrible. The ROI which stands at 22% arguably paints a better picture here.
Conclusion to RL Rated Racing
There is a lot to like about RL Rated Racing, and there are also some things that could possibly be better if I’m entirely honest. One of those things that could arguably be improved upon is the profit. Now I have to qualify this and say that first things first, there is a profit. That is a very good thing. The ROI also reflects how strong this profit ultimately is. 22% is a very respectable number. 12 points per month isn’t even that bad, it just… All feels only OK.
Now, one of the things that I do have to talk about is the value for money. RL Rated Racing is pretty reasonably priced for the service. But there are questions in my mind about how much you should be willing to pay for a service that provides a modest second income. Here are a few facts to be considered. 12 points of profit to £10 bets means £120 per month.
Factor in your subscription costs and you are looking at an extra £92 per month. This is a lot less. This means that to make something resembling a modest second income, you have to stake at least £20 per bet.
The big problem with all of this is that whilst RL Rated Racing would make you £185 per month using £20 stakes, investing slightly more in a pricier service could see you increasing this amount exponentially. This is in no way a reflection of Richard or BetInfo 24, I think that they have put together a solid product that has done exactly what it is supposed to do. Make a profit.
The tipster market is however much more competitive than it used to be and simply making money isn’t always enough anymore.
I am not even comparing RL Rated Racing to some of the numerous high stakes tipsters who claim hundreds of points of profit per month. I can think of a number of examples that are sensible, make significantly more and cost maybe £8 extra per month.
All of this is a real shame as I like what BetInfo 24 have put together in RL Rated Racing. It is a good looking service and if you are happy with the diminished return then it is seriously worth your consideration. Personally though, I like to see my money work a little harder for me.
Interesting reading, who do you recommend as the top tipster, paying an extra £8 a month is nothing if you get better results, who in your opinion is the better one to go for?
