SC Sports is a relatively long standing sports betting tipster service that is being offered through Bethub. It comes with a rather interesting benefit of betting on two rather niche sports.
Introduction to SC Sports
I rather relish any tipster service that operates in a bit of a niche market. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with horse racing or football betting. In fact, they are some of the most profitable avenues for betting. But the problem is that eventually, you end up looking at different shades of grey. As such, when something comes along that is genuinely quite new to me… well, it can be cause for excitement. Especially when it is a service with a rather unique focus.
All of that is a very nice way of leading into a tipster service that is both genuinely intriguing to me, but also one of the most bizarre services that I think I’ve looked at for some time. You see, SC Sports is a tipster service that looks at two different sports. Nothing wrong with that at all. But in this case, Bethub have found a tipster that tips consistently on two sports that might as well be chalk and cheese. And that is what makes this something that I am quite excited about.
Now, it is all well and good being a tipster service that is a bit different, but it doesn’t count for squat if it isn’t turning a profit. And that is what makes SC Sports really stand out. Because according to Bethub, this has performed quite exceptionally over the last year. Something that you can’t really say for most tipster services. Never mind one that offers exciting opportunities in niche betting markets. There is actually quite a lot to cover, so let’s get straight into it.
What Does SC Sports Offer?
SC Sports is not, fundamentally, a simple tipster service. But don’t let that put you off. Because it is also a service that may be more worth the work than most tipster services that I look at. That sort of thing simply isn’t something that I get to say all that often. Of course, as exciting as all of that is, it does make it rather difficult to write about, so… stick with me.
First things first, I want to talk about how Bethub manage this. The nature of the service means that there isn’t a lot of rhyme and reason. This starts with how often bets are actually sent out. Even though SC Sports is based around betting on two sports, it is a long way from a daily tipster service. In actual fact, there are frequent days off (and occasionally, full months depending on the sports season).
Now, I mentioned that there are two sports that SC Sports is built on. Firstly, there is basketball. Unlike some basketball tipster services that I look at though, this is focused solely on the NBA. The other sport is cricket. This isn’t one that I see tipped often, but Bethub’s proofing shows comprehensive advice here, covering things like test games, T20, and a host of other leagues and tournaments.
As you might imagine, on the days where there are bets, there can be quite a lot to do. Some individual days might see as many as 10 basketball games and similar numbers of cricket games. Fortunately, these don’t all seem to fall on the same day often, but it does mean that SC Sports requires a decent amount of input from you.
Something that helps with this is that Bethub have a decent number of options for actually receiving selections. Of course, you receive selections via email. These typically land giving you a reasonable amount of time to get bets on. You can also log into a member’s area where you can view selections from SC Sports.
For my money though, the best way to receive selections is to simply use the Bethub app. This will give you all tips for SC Sports directly to your phone. They are both harder to miss this way, and also more accessible if you have to go looking for places to place your bets. Something that isn’t necessarily a necessity, but because the betting is rather niche it does add some complexity.
You see, as well as betting on those less usual sports, SC Sports looks at a massive range of betting markets. I don’t normally have to say this, but there are simply too many to talk about here. They can range from simply backing a team to win to 7 fold accas to a huge number of in game bet types for both basketball and cricket. It really is a lot.
The thing is, it needs to be. This is a service that is predominantly quite low odds. Whilst there are definitely one or two that are outliers, Bethub’s own proofing shows that a huge majority of bets are coming in at less than 2/1. In fact, for context, the average odds based off my calculations are about 3/4. This isn’t a be all and end all mind you, because SC Sports still performs quite well.
What I will say through is that it… I’m going to say has some help from the stakes. You see, Bethub demonstrate that the range of points per bet can be anywhere from a single point all the way up to 5 points. On a busy day, it isn’t unfeasible that you’re staking almost 20 points. Sometimes more. This means that you need quite a hefty bank if you’re going to follow SC Sports.
Fortunately, you are at least winning pretty often. Whilst the data is a little difficult to analyse (Bethub’s proofing isn’t quite perfect), I would say that a very fair approximation of a strike rate would be between 50 and 60%. That is really quite respectable. For further context on this, there has been just one losing month for SC Sports.
How Does SC Sports Work?
I really don’t think that it would be unreasonable to question how SC Sports works. After all, Bethub have here a tipster who is betting on two completely different sports. One, a fast paced All American super league, the other that sport that Britain unleashed on the world that takes a week to play. It’s certainly an interesting dichotomy. Rather unfortunately, we aren’t really given much insight into how all of this came to be.
What we are told however is that the tipster behind the service is “an exceptional form student”. This is a long way from ideal in understanding how SC Sports works. But credit where credit is due to Bethub, that’s more than some tipsters will give you. It’s just that… well, it isn’t really enough for my liking. I really did want to get at least some idea of the selection process beyond simply “form”.
I think that a big part of this in the case of SC Sports is simply because of the big asks that I feel this ends up asking of you. Over the lasts year or so, it has been advised that you stake almost 1,800 points. That is a hell of a lot. And whilst I appreciate that this is a service that is winning in the long term, it’s a big ask given you’re rather blind. I don’t want a comprehensive step by step breakdown. But something would have been nice.
There is at least some mitigation in all of this. Bethub do provide some incredibly comprehensive proofing, including a breakdown of performance for both basketball and cricket. Sure, the layout can be a bit janky at times, but it does allow you to paint a pretty decent picture for SC Sports. It definitely isn’t a replacement for the insight into a selection process, but it’s better than nothing.
What is the Initial Investment?
If you want to sign up to SC Sports there are two options available. The first of these is a monthly subscription which is priced at just £29 per month. This comes with a free 14 day trial period too so that you can get a good feel for the service. If you want better value, Bethub also have an option to subscribe on a quarterly basis. This comes in at £65 per quarter and also includes the 14 day trial period.
Something that isn’t really mentioned anywhere in the sales material though is that there is actually a full 60 day money back guarantee in place for SC Sports. This is backed up by the fact that Bethub are selling this through Clickbank. As such, it means that if you did need to take advantage of this, you shouldn’t have too many problems doing so.
What is the Rate of Return?
A lot of the appeal of SC Sports, at least to me, stems from the fact that it’s a bit novel. This is a long way from the only reason that this should appeal to you though. Bethub’s proofing demonstrates a service that over the course of (almost) a year, some 499.32 points of profit have been made. That isn’t something to sniff at.
Now, you could argue that the stakes do inflate the results somewhat. In actual fact, with average stakes of about 2.5 points, I think it’s fair to say that they definitely do with SC Sports. But that isn’t the only measure either. I know that almost 1,800 points have been staked across both basketball and cricket in the time this has been active. That means we can measure an ROI of almost 28%. A very impressive number.
Conclusion for SC Sports
SC Sports is about as unique a tipster service as I think I’ve seen for some time now. Everything about it screams “different”. The thing with different, is it doesn’t fit everybody’s needs. And I’ll be honest and say that I do think that this is the kind of service that won’t fit everybody. But for a small handful, it may well be one of the best options currently on the market.
One of the things that I often talk about when I talk about tipster services, if you are following them seriously, is the importance of building a portfolio. Effectively, this stops you putting all of your eggs in one basket. And whilst that can get expensive (as you’re following multiple tipsters), diversity in your betting is a good thing long term. So, where does SC Sports fit into this?
Well, first things first, there is the fact that this isn’t that expensive. If you shop around for a tipster service in this day and age, you can end up paying as much as £60 ever 28 days. Some are even substantially higher than that. Yet Bethub are asking just £29 per month. And if you think about the fact that SC Sports is covering two sports for that, it really is very modest.
It isn’t just that SC Sports is covering two different sports though. It is the fact that they are both so niche. I don’t think there are many people who would sign up to this and find that it is stepping on the toes of other tipster services that you might be following. This is a big part of why it slots so well into a wider portfolio.
And finally, we have the most obvious thing. SC Sports is really quite profitable. Now, sometimes when I’m considering something from the perspective of it being a part of a portfolio, I do have lesser expectations. But Bethub are very clearly onto something good here. Because this has produced a strong profit in its own right. Even when you factor in that inflation.
So, why wouldn’t you want to follow SC Sports? Well, the truth is that there are a few reasons. First and foremost, this isn’t exactly a novice service. I think there is a lot of work that you have to put in here, and there is a strong possibility that you may find accounts restricted. Especially because of the types of bets that are being placed. That in and of itself could be a deal breaker.
Then there are the huge amounts that you have to bet. Over a period of just a few days, SC Sports can see drawdown of 33.92 and that was just on the cricket. If the NBA bets hit a run like this at the same time, that starts to add up very quickly. And yet, I believe that if you are positioned to deal with all of this, it is probably worth it.
The fact of the matter is that this isn’t something that is easy to follow. But that is wherein the profit lies. SC Sports is a service that thrives in the niche. That is why I can say with confidence that this is definitely worth some very serious consideration. It isn’t for everyone though. By this point, you will probably know if it’s for you or not. But if it is, it is worth some incredibly serious consideration.
Hi Curtis, SC Sport was awesome. Bethub on the other hand are a little shady and underhanded. SC sports were proofed by bet hub but he stopped tipping for almost 6 months and having paid for half a year’s subscription to bet hub they auto signed me up to BetOwl. Stuck with them for 3 months and then asked for a refund for the last quarter but after many emails they have yet to refund me for services not used. They basically won’t refund anything and will keep pushing un-proofed services your way so they don’t have to refund you. They brought SC sport with betowl which left me with confidence for a few weeks and then he left leaving you with an un-proofed tipster. Bethub pride themself on having proofed tipsters on their website but betowl was not even listed. Seems a little scammish in my opinion. My betting balance is down to zero so I am fairly confident BetOwl was not proofed so I don’t have any betting money left to play with. Be very careful with Bethub and if you are going for a service through them make sure it’s proofed and listed on their site. Personally I don’t think they are honest and they most certainly won’t refund you for services unused no matter how many times you email them. So be very careful if you plan to use this service, as the saying goes once bitten twice shy.
