When it comes to betting, there are a few things that I like and that I aim for. The first one is consistency. Whilst profit is ultimately the most important thing, I strongly think this has to be tempered by the risk. The next thing is an actual betting system. Tipsters have their place, but I’d much rather bet on my own terms. And finally, I like an approach that isn’t based on a gimmick. It can be hard ticking all of these boxes.

But something that seems like it may well have the potential to achieve this is The Football Betting Masterclass. A betting system developed by Orio Sports. Now whilst there isn’t necessarily anything unique about it, it is quite uniquely positioned. This is because I can say with confidence that it’s been some time since I’ve looked at a betting system that is so comprehensive and, apparently, ideologically sound.

Of course, I also know all too well that it is very easy to make a service sound good on paper. Actually delivering on this is a different matter. As well as this, there are a few elements of The Football Betting Masterclass that, whilst not questionable, do carry some considerable weight in terms of consideration. And it is very comprehensive. This makes it rather difficult to find an ideal jumping off point for a review. But perhaps the easiest way is to really boil the service down to a core premise.

Orio Sports say that The Football Betting Masterclass will show you how to win at football betting, and you will learn how to turn data into profits. More specifically, this is taught via the medium of an online course. One that we are told, should take you 6-8 weeks to complete. That is a number that I really want to put into perspective.

Most betting systems that I look at are very simple “if x then y” approaches. They might say, for example, if the favourite has conceded more than 2 goals per game on average over the last 5 games, then back that game as over 1.5 goals. They’re simple and naïve. The Football Betting Masterclass is the polar opposite of this.

With that said, Orio Sports do also point out that this is a “completely self-paced online course”. What this means is that ultimately, how long it will take you to get started with everything is a personal preference. For my money, I’d say that this definitely warrants the kind of time that is recommended. Because it isn’t really that simple.

The fact is that The Football Betting Masterclass is a bit of a multifaceted thing. There are a few different approaches that Orio Sports takes (that I will discuss in a little more detail later). Whilst it isn’t quite broken down into separate systems, there are multiple things that you will be bringing together with a view to a “final goal” that should produce your profit.  

Now, for some context on the depth that you are getting for your money, The Football Betting Masterclass runs over some 30 videos (which are all transcribed so you can follow them at your own pace). As well as this, there is also in depth instructions that accompany them. There has also been clear thought put into the structure of the course with Orio Sports breaking up topics a little so that it doesn’t feel too full on.

As well as being broken up that way, there are a number of different topics covered. These range from things like the theory of bookmaking and odds compilation, to goal expectancy, and various topics on ratings. There is also some much more advanced theory work as well, all of which requires time, but I believe is worth it.

Of course, all of this theory doesn’t mean anything if you can’t actually implement it. Fortunately, Orio Sports have thought of this. There is a whole chapter dedicated to the practicality of the methods. This is something that is very welcome, especially for those who might not be overly familiar.

As far as videos go, the quality is pretty much in line with what you would expect from an online training course. Ultimately, the focus is on delivering information in a concise fashion which doesn’t exactly overlap with high production values. With that said though, The Football Betting Masterclass does a very good job of conveying the information (which is the most important thing).

As well as the video training that is included, The Football Betting Masterclass also leans quite heavily on various bits of data that Orio Sports compile. This includes a lifetime of access to their “hard-to-find, exclusive data”. This covers expected goals, match data, and big chance. You also get access to a full season of Premier League Match Data. 

It is also worth noting that Orio Sports provide an excel spreadsheet which contains a number of different templates for odds compilation. This is really an invaluable tool and something that I think is quite important for getting started with The Football Betting Masterclass. The fact is that this kind of thing can help you to see how everything comes together, which is ultimately quite important.

And finally, I consider it to be noteworthy that The Football Betting Masterclass also comes with access to Orio Sports via email. This support is pretty invaluable and ultimately, I think is probably necessary if you want to get the most out of the system.

How Does The Football Betting Masterclass Work?

Now, we come to the part of The Football Betting Masterclass that is arguably the most important, as well as being the most impressive. How it all works. This won’t be an in depth breakdown you understand. At the end of the day, Orio Sports have this behind a paywall. As such, I don’t believe that it’s fair or reasonable for me to start giving the game away for free. Not that that stops me providing some information.

If there is one thing that you should take away from this article so far, it is the words “odds compilation”. For those who may not be familiar with this term (and if you’re on the punting side of things, there is a chance you aren’t), it is effectively the act of working out the chance of something happens, then specifically, pricing that up. It is exactly what bookies do to calculate their books.

But why would you be compiling your own odds? Well, the short (and very crude) answer to that is to see where there is value. Because the truth of the matter is that the bookies don’t always get it right. And if you know what you’re doing, then you can make some long term profits.

Now this is entirely provided by Orio Sports, and you are in theory, at their mercy in claiming this. But I see little reason to believe that they wouldn’t honour this.

What is the Rate of Return?

Now we come to the real question, which is how much you can expect to earn from The Football Betting Masterclass. And the short answer there is… Well, it all depends on how much you are willing to invest, both in terms of time and money. Realistically, if you’re being conservative with your betting (which you probably should be, especially when you start out), then the returns won’t necessarily be that substantial.

But the thing is that in my book, this is all about long term and consistency rather than immediate short term gains. And that is where the appeal lies. Sure, you might not necessarily be making huge amounts of money back immediately. But taking a small amount every day will add up over time. But exercising patience with The Football Betting Masterclass, is key.  

Conclusion for The Football Betting Masterclass

Before I say anything else, let’s address the elephant in the room. The Football Betting Masterclass isn’t cheap. No matter how you want to dress it up, whether it is on offer or not, Orio Sports are asking a lot of money. But the thing with expensive products is that sometimes (although not necessarily very often), they are worth it.

Which of course begs the question, is The Football Betting Masterclass worth it? And the short answer to this is that I believe that it might be. Because at its core, Orio Sports seem to have put out a genuinely good quality product. Something that is a frustrating rarity in this day and age. But I can appreciate it when I see it.

With that said, I also think that it’s quite important to acknowledge the fact that this is unlikely to be for everybody. It takes work. It takes time. It requires investment. The fact is that some people simply don’t have the inclination to engage on this level. And that’s fair enough, but I think it’s worth acknowledging this fact, as I’d hate to mislead anybody about what they’re getting into.

So, what about for those people who do want to put in the time and effort? Well, there are a few things that highlight the quality on offer. First things first, The Football Betting Masterclass is ultimately an evergreen product. What I mean by this is that in theory, you should be able to use this whenever you want, for as long as you want. What Orio Sports teach you can be replicated and implemented on your terms.

But it’s so much more than this, because what they are teaching you is just a decent approach to betting. Honestly, I’ve seen so much crap in my time ranging from the overly simplistic to the weird and wacky, and on occasion, stuff that is made so complicated that it’s almost rendered moot simply by existing. But whilst The Football Betting Masterclass isn’t the easiest thing in the world, it’s not something that feels impossible.

A big part of that is down to the way that Orio Sports have set the training up. Like I said earlier, it is a bit utilitarian, but it doesn’t need to be more than this either. It just does a decent job of teaching you what it is you need to know. And if you’re serious about your betting, you aren’t going to be put off by having to pore over charts and numbers. If that sounds boring, give The Football Betting Masterclass a miss. You’ll only be wasting your time.

Here’s the thing. Objectively, I think that The Football Betting Masterclass is a decent product. There is no denying that Orio Sports have put together a very good offering that takes a somewhat common approach to betting and breaks it all down to the nth degree. It’s genuinely quite impressive. On top of that, the overall quality of the product (at least from what I’ve seen) is solid. And if you’ve got £300 to spend on a betting service, then it’s worth a look (although I couldn’t recommend it at the higher price of £599).

My subjective opinion of The Football Betting Masterclass however is that I think it’s a bit pricey. I can see why Orio Sports are asking as much as they are, because this is a well put together thing. But it’s not the only well put together betting system on the market. There are other options that will ultimately leave you in a similar situation (that is to say with an angle on betting that you can utilise as and when you want to make a profit). They also don’t cost £300.

So, to wrap this up. Yes, Orio Sports’s offering is worth a look. It’s worth the money. But you can also make your money work harder for you elsewhere. If you’re set on the idea of learning odds compiling and leveraging that for profit, then The Football Betting Masterclass is probably the best thing on the market. By a long way as well.
