The Power of Four Review

The Power of Four is a new horse racing tipster service from Eddie Lloyd that is being marketed by Michael Wilding. It claims to be able to make a decent income through betting.

What does the product offer?

The sales material from The Power of Four certainly make Eddie Lloyd sound like some kind of betting god. He talks at length about how many people he has helped to become wealthy from horse racing. The big question is whether or not The Power of Four lives up to this. From what little information is made available, The Power of Four is a relatively straight forward tipster service.

The selections are near daily and there are typically just one or two selections per day. What is worth noting is that The Power of Four clearly looks to identify horses with longer odds as the lowest of these to date is 1.8.

The staking plan is a simple level affair of just 1 point per bet. So far there is simply nothing out of the ordinary The strike rate however is, at the time of writing standing at just 14% with 6 wins out of 42 bets.

How does the product work?

Unfortunately, Eddie Lloyd doesn’t provide any real details on how he makes selections for The Power of Four. There are some hints however. Eddie Lloyd says that he has used software provided by Race Advisor to improve his betting strategies.

He is also an ex employee of William Hill and allegedly was mentored by his Grandfather, a pro bettor himself which may or may not be true, but suggests a history of the sport.

More importantly, it would seem from looking at the proofing that The Power of Four is ultimately a value based operation.

What is the initial investment?

The Power of Four is one of the more expensive horse racing tipster services that I have looked at before now. Eddie Lloyd is currently asking £67 plus VAT per month for this services. It is worth pointing out that this also comes with no money back guarantee either.

What is the rate of return?

Whilst the sales material for The Power of Four claims that over the last 6 months there has been a profit generated of £8,472, the proofing on Race Advisor shows a service that is currently 17.57 points in the red.

Conclusion

Whilst the sales material for The Power of Four sounds like you are onto a no brainer, especially when you listen to the claimed results for the last 6 months. Unfortunately, the more recent spate of results suggest that even if these are correct, they are unlikely to repeat.

The fact about The Power of Four, is that it is clearly reliant on big wins coming in. Unfortunately, at the time of writing it would take a fair few on the bounce to be profitable.

This may not be the worst thing if not for the fact that Eddie Lloyd is asking a very large premium for the service. With this in mind, I simply wouldn’t want to invest my time or money into The Power of Four.
