Thorobred Tipster Review

Thorobred is a horse racing tipster service from Alistair and Imee Formby that claims to be able to generate huge monthly profits.

What does the product offer?

The sales material for Thorobred is pretty clear on what is on offer and that is a highly profitable horse racing tipster service. Whilst this initially sounds great there are a number of reservations that I have about this that I will explore below. In terms of the service, Thorobred is an extraordinarily high volume tipster service that often provides in excess of 30 bets per day, sometimes with upwards of 3 horses running in a single race.

All bets are advised as win or each way with a level staking plan in place. The high volume of Thorobred does mean that the strike rate is rather irrelevant however it is probably worth pointing out that it is likely to be very low.

How does the product work?

The process behind Thorobred is an interesting one with Alistair and Imee Formby saying that in order to gain access to their selections you have to make yourself available at 10.25 am for a little over an hour.

This is because selections aren’t emailed out to users or even uploaded to a member’s area. Instead, Alistair and Imee Formby have you betting in “real time” with the couple posting what bets they are placing and at what odds at which point you are supposed to go to the same bookmaker and place bets to get similar odds.

In order to facilitate the betting, it is recommended that you set up multiple accounts with all the major bookmakers (which equates to 20 bookies with 2 accounts recommended with each). Unfortunately, the actual selection process isn’t something that is ever discussed.

What is the initial investment?

Thorobred only has one option when you sign up for the service which is the rather eye watering cost of £79 per month.

Payment is handled via Paypal and it is worth noting that you aren’t paying Alistair and Imee Formby directly, rather a company called Europa Publishing LLC. As you can probably guess, there is unfortunately no money back guarantee in place for Thorobred.

What is the rate of return?

An average month of betting with Thorobred is claimed to produce profits of £1,500 – £3,500 based off £10 stakes.

Conclusion

First things first, as I have touched upon there does seem to be a very inherent risk with Thorobred for a number of reasons.

The most notable example being the huge quantity of bets that uses. At 1 point each way this can mean staking upwards of 60 points per day which is an insane amount to gamble.

The wins when they happen are pretty impressive with high odds and there isn’t really any arguing with the results that Alistair and Imee Formby have proofed to their site which do show that the earning potential is there.

Personally I feel that Thorobred is something of a ticking time bomb that can destroy your bank with a few bad runs.

Not a very happy customer

Nowadays they are offering also bets with Betfair by using BetEngine as an automatic bot for their selections.

Their published results so far for May 25th is 106.79 points profit. Which is very interesting because I have been with them this month and my results using BetEngine is -145 points loss.

Lucky me I have been only betting 0.50 cents per bet, but it is still a loss of 77 Euros, plus of course their monthly fee which is about 100 Euros.

So, you are very much right about of a ticking time bomb. I will see the rest of the month and probably will cancel my membership… or very much needs to be happen if I continue with them.
