Top Rated Runners Review

Top Rated Runners is the newest tipster service to be offered as a part of the Betting Gods stable of tipsters. It is operated by a tipster referred to as Mike and has shown a strong and consistent profit trend.

What does the product offer?

There are few tipster services that I get excited about however whenever I see something new from the Betting Gods team, I always have a pretty good idea of what to expect. This has gone a long way to establishing the name as one of the biggest in the tipster industry. With that in mind, I rather relish looking at their newest offering which comes in the shape of Top Rated Runners.

As I have come to expect from the Betting Gods team, there is very little in the way of pomp and circumstance when it comes to Top Rated Runners. Instead there is plenty of no nonsense information available about what you can expect, the numbers behind the service and of course full proofing. These are basic things that you would expect from any tipster and I consider it to be a good metric for how genuine a service is. This of course means that Top Rated Runners is about as genuine as it comes and that is one of the best starts a service can hope for in this day and age.

In terms of what you are actually getting, Top Rated Runners is a daily service which sends selections out the evening before a race (usually between 8pm and 9 pm). Selections are emailed to Top Rated Runners subscribers, are uploaded to a special member’s area of the Betting Gods website as well as being sent out to the Betting Gods app meaning you can get your selections almost anywhere.

In terms of the bets, all that Mike advises for Top Rated Runners is either a straight win or an each way bet. These have a huge variety in terms of the odds that you are backing with the average working out at 9/2. These can differ hugely however with some days having bts of less than 3.0 whilst others go as high as 20.00 plus.

Sticking with the numbers side of things, these are an area where Top Rated Runners appears to be very solid as a service. Given the variety of bets that are involved with the service, you would be expected to see a variety of staking and this is absolutely important when dealing with Top Rated Runners on a daily basis. Each way bets start at just 0.5 points each way and very rarely go above 2.0 points per bet.

This only really leaves the striker ate to consider. Typically for a win/each way service horse racing service, I would expect this number to be around 25% at the very least. Mike definitely exceeds this expectation however as the Betting Gods team report an actual average strike rate of 29.39%. This isn’t a mind blowing number but it is solid and very much in line with what you would expect from a tipster service which has grown consistently.

How does the product work?

In terms of the selection process for Top Rated Runners, we are rather unfortunately left with very little information. We are told that Mike has been a pro punter for over 12 years and that a lot of time and effort goes into finding selections. Personally, I would have liked to have seen more information here however truth be told, I have come to expect this from products in the Betting Gods group. The fact is that Darren (the owner of Betting Gods) doesn’t publish services on a whim and he has to genuinely believe that there is profit to be made before a service is released. Whilst I don’t believe that this is a replacement, it does offer some mitigation in my opinion.

What is the initial investment?

There are three different options available for Top Rated Runners, all of which are surprisingly reasonably priced. The first is a monthly subscription will cost you just £25 per month. The second is a quarterly subscription which costs just £50 per quarter. Finally, you can sign up for the whole year for £150 meaning that your effective monthly cost is just £12.50.

On top of this, all options come with a 10 day trial which costs just £1 which allows you to see whether or not Top Rated Runners is for you. If this isn’t enough, there is also a 30 day money back guarantee.

What is the rate of return?

Since launching in July 2017, Top Rated Runners has generated a points profit of 157.5. This is a solid result with one of the most impressive factors being the consistency of profit. Yes, there have been a few small losing months but the overall growth has been strong. Perhaps the best way to put the profitability of Top Rated Runners into context is to point out that Mike’s tips have produced an ROI of 31.78%, a phenomenal number to maintain over 6 months.

I don’t tend to hide my admiration for what Darren has done with the Betting Gods brand. Every tipster that he has worked with has performed consistently and where there are problems, they have been dropped from the roster. There is no keeping the chaff with the wheat for the sake of bulking up the numbers so to speak. This is in direct contrast to some other tipster stables that immediately spring to mind.

What this means is that looking at Top Rated Runners, I believe that there is strong potential for the results to continue in the same vein that they have. This is important as probably the stand out thing with Top Rated Runners for me is the consistency. This doesn’t mean that the service produces wins like clockwork, but you also shouldn’t have to wait too long for a win to come in. The thing is that a sensible staking plan means that even when there are losing streaks, your bank doesn’t ever feel under threat.

Of course there is also the point to be made that Top Rated Runners is fantastic value for money. £25 per month for a tipster service these days is almost unthinkable and yet, here it is. Not only have the Betting Gods team kept the price down here, but it is on a decent product. Had you signed up for Top Rated Runners on an annual basis, even using £1 per point stakes you would currently be operating at a profit (albeit a small one). If you were paying monthly, £2 per point would see you in the same position.

This might not necessarily sound impressive in and of itself but having a service that can work for those without a substantial betting is a rarity. I am more than happy to recommend Top Rated Runners as a decent horse racing tipster service for anybody with an interest. I am going to go one further however and say that this is a pretty ideal first tipster for those who want to start getting serious with their betting. It is affordable, profitable and comes from a top tipster group in the shape of Betting Gods. This is one that is definitely worth your consideration.
